Country Coach Friends Inc. (CCFI), an international chapter of Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA), recently raised $6,095 to benefit to Oregon-based charities who serve those in need.
Junction City Local Aid, Junction City, and God’s Storehouse, Harrisburg, were the beneficiaries of the charitable giving of 100 attendees at the 3rd annual CCFI Friendship Rally in Albany, Ore., Aug. 21-25 at Linn County Fair & Expo Center, according to a news release.
The designated charities, Junction City Local Aid & God’s Storehouse, addressed the group informing of the great need for supplemental food and services to families within the Lane and Linn county areas. This international FMCA chapter responded with their generous donations at a fun-filled charity auction held during the rally.
Jerry O’Connor and wife Sherry presented the donated funds to the two agencies. “It’s our privilege to support such valuable service organizations, giving back to the area where we have enjoyed so many years of motorcoaching memories,” Jerry O’Connor, club president noted.
The CCFI Friendship Rally, an annual event which finds motorcoachers returning to the area where all Country Coach motorcoaches were originally built, was generously supported by over 30 different RV-related and other local businesses.
Country Coach Corp., Oregon Motorcoach Service and Premier RV Services were three major sponsors, with many other key contributors were local and national businesses including: Dickman Tire Center, Carr Industries, DLH Design, Foretravel of Texas, Fly By Might, Advanced Satellite, Countryside Interiors, Blue Ox Towing Systems, Mary Moppins, Geeks onTour, Mac McCoy and Premier Motorcoach Services of Tucson, Ariz.

The Country Coach Friends Inc. Club (CCFI), a fast-growing international chapter of the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA), announced its 2014 events schedule with rallies in Louisiana and Oregon planned.
“A motorcoach rally is the perfect place for coach owners, RV-related businesses and suppliers, and other vendors to join up for five days of fun, friendship and mutual enjoyment of this great motorcoaching lifestyle,” said CCFI President Jerry O’Connor in a press release. “Country Coach Friends was founded on friendship and we extend an open invitation to all motorcoach owners (and vendors) to attend a CCFI event.”
During CCFI rallies, attendees are presented with informative technical seminars about their coach and it systems along with entertainment, meals and many other scheduled events. A vendor display offers many shopping opportunities, and there is usually a sales coach display for those shopping for a new motorhome.

The 2012 Second Annual Country Coach Friendship Rally drew 170 highline motorcoach owners to the Junction City, Ore., community for the July 24-28 event. According to a press release, the rally was presented by Country Coach Friends Inc. (CCFI), an international chapter of Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA).
During the rally, the group donated $9,600 dollars to Junction City Local Aid and God’s Storehouse in Harrisburg. Money was raised through raffle ticket sales and a live auction. Last year, the rally attendees donated over $8,000 two these organizations which provide emergency assistance to families in need. The presentation of the $9,600 in total monies raised to the two food banks will take place later this week at the Junction City Local Aid.
Many of the 170 motorcoachers have extended their stay in the Junction City community, enjoying the south Willamette Valley. The annual CCFI Club Rally event returns to Oregon each year for the Friendship Rally, which is in close proximity to the former manufacturing headquarters for Country Coach Inc.
Due to the growth rate of the club, other venues in Eugene and Albany area are being explored for 2013’s rally site.
