The recent “Make An Offer” sale at Dandy RV Superstore in Anniston, Ala., set a dealership record of 28 sales in four days.
“Our sales and service business had been steadily growing since January, but not nearly to our capacity, so we decided to get aggressive, spend some money and go after the business. And, I got to tell you, it’s working,” said Jim Dandy, president and CEO, in a news release.
General Manager Greg Justice and the dealership’s advertising agency, Force Marketing, created the special “Make An Offer Sale”, a four-day seasonal kick-off event, which resulted in an unbelievable amount of qualified floor traffic and serious buying or trading offers on RVs, the release stated.
“Our salespeople and managers were overjoyed and a little bit overwhelmed at the amount of traffic created. We had folks coming all the way from Atlanta to trade, it was fabulous,” said Justice.
“We targeted one segment of our customer base with a direct mail piece and ran television as backup support, so now we’re going to regroup, restock and target the rest of our market with a follow up campaign in the coming weeks,” Justice said.
