Cambridge, Ontario, Canada-based Dimplex North America Ltd. recently announced sales opportunities within its RV division for servicing the RV aftermarket industry in the U.S.
The company, which is credited with producing the first electric fireplace with a truly realistic “wood burning” flame effect in 1995 — and has been granted 30 patents covering various areas of electric flame technology — has branched out into the RV industry with a line of built-in fireboxes, Kickspace heaters and PowerChef® electric grilles.
Developed specifically for the RV industry, the Dimplex products are crafted for ease of use and installation. The Firebox, for example, is designed to fit into almost any RV simply by removing cupboard doors, while the Kickspace heaters can be installed under cupboards or into stairs, taking up minimal living space. The PowerChef Grill is large enough to cook, grill and fry for six people using a regular 120-volt outlet — yet is compact enough to store in a small cupboard.
A member of the Glen Dimplex Group of companies of Dublin, Ireland, which employs more than 8,500 people worldwide with sales in excess of $3 billion, Dimplex North America Limited entered the North American market in 1991 by acquiring several leading electric heating brands — Electromode, Sentinel, Chromalox and Westcan.
Dimplex North America Limited is headquartered in a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility located in Cambridge, Ontario. To service the company’s customer base throughout the U.S., Dimplex operates a 218,000-square-foot distribution facility in Indianapolis.
