DJ Constriction Inc. has completed an addition to Jayco Inc.’s Plant 41 facility in Middlebury, Ind., partnership with DJ Construction.

The steel addition contains 30,150 square feet of manufacturing space that includes 6,000 square feet of new mezzanine, as well as new and renovated areas throughout the building, according to a press release. The addition is needed to accommodate growing demand for motorhomes produced by the company’s Entegra Coach Inc. division.

The motorhome facility is located on the west side of State Road 13 at the extreme south end of the Jayco campus in Middlebury.  The addition will bring the total square footage devoted to EC Class A products to approximately 50,000 square feet. The entire facility is now 215,000 square feet.

Jayco first approached DJ about this project in December 2009 and asked how quickly the building could be occupied. After that first meeting, Jayco was using the new space within six months, even as construction progressed over a difficult winter season.

Jayco has teamed up with DJ on over 10 significant projects prior to this addition, including its corporate office, other manufacturing facilities and its wellness center.

DJ Construction Co. Inc. is a general contractor focusing on commercial, industrial, healthcare and church facilities in the Michiana area. The company provides a customer-driven approach to the building delivery process for all sizes and types of projects, including renovations and repairs.

Jayco Inc. is the largest privately held manufacturer of recreational vehicles in North America. The company markets towable RVs and motorhomes through a network of more than 500 dealers worldwide.
