Winnebago Industries Inc. is putting some extra cash in RVers’ pockets. Consumers that purchase a new 2009 model year ERA earn $7,000 cash back, while a 2010 model year ERA earns $6,000 cash back.

The cash back can be taken as a rebate or applied to the down payment.

Forest City, Iowa-based Winnebago announced the “Dough to Go” promotion this week.

“The ERA is an impressive Class B motorhome that’s perfect for downsizers, weekend warriors or anyone looking for a full service RV in a compact package,” said Roger Martin, Winnebago, vice president of sales and marketing. “We are pleased to offer this new ‘Dough to Go’ promotion to consumers looking for a compact motor home that is maneuverable, sleek and fuel efficient.”

Built on an 8,550-lb. GVWR Dodge/Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis with a fuel-efficient 3L 6-cylinder turbo-diesel Mercedes-Benz engine, the ERA features an aerodynamic design with smooth lines and a striking exterior design. In addition to the front cab doors, on the passenger side, a large sliding door opens easily for entry into the coach, while the rear double doors open up to 270 degrees for great access to the back of the coach.

The ERA features two models – the 170X and 170R. Both models offer a rear 60-inch x 80-inch sofa/bed, as well as a full-featured galley and bathroom. Stunning curved cabinetry with hidden hinges and plush, UltraLeather seating are additional highlights of the ERA. The 170X features two companion chairs that make for a prime seating area, while the 170R has a single chair behind the cab seats. All models have a moveable pedestal table that can be easily positioned by the sofa in the rear of the coach or up front. The cab seats swivel fully to face the companion seats and, with the table in place, create the perfect seating area for playing games or dining. Both floorplans feature a 15-inch LCD TV in the back of the coach that swivels for prime viewing throughout the coach.

The ‘Dough to Go’ program is not available at all ERA dealers. Only dealers that have chosen to participate in the program are eligible. Consumers must isit a Winnebago dealership by March 31.
