High-end fifth-wheel builder DRV Luxury Suites reported strong sales during the RV show season, according to a press release.
“Our sales at the January Florida RV Supershow in Tampa were the best we’ve ever had,” said Rocky Holman, product manager for the Howe, Ind.-based builder.
Represented by America Choice RV at the Tampa show, DRV generated sales across its full line, including the top-selling Mobile Suites, newly introduced Mobile Suites Estates, top-end Elite Suites and the revamped Tradition.
Holman said that customers were impressed with the new residential features in DRV’s products, including residential refrigerators, standard dishwashers and garbage disposals, ceramic tile backsplashes, quartz countertops, Lane furniture, soft-close drawers, LED lighting, Shaw wood plank vinyl flooring and full-paint designs. Offering durable, four season-construction, units also showcased new decors and cabinet colors.
“While the customer response and our sales were strong across the board, the industry-first sage/mushroom painted cabinets in our Tradition series were a huge hit and made the Tradition the most viewed and talked about unit in the display,” noted Holman. “Customers really appreciated how light and open the Tradition felt, and one of the most common reactions we got from customers was that it ‘felt like home.’”
DRV’s results were corroborated by Statistical Surveys Inc.’s January retail sales report that showed DRV registrations up 63% over January 2012, representing the best January sales since before the “Great Recession.” With great momentum coming out of RV show season, Holman said DRV expects 2013 to be a banner year.
DRV is currently signing new dealers in open territories. For more information contact Kyle Miller, national sales manager, at email@example.com or (260) 562-1075.
Four-season, luxury fifth-wheel builder DRV Luxury Suites will be rolling out new looks, features and industry-first floorplans and decors during the National RV Trade Show, Nov. 27-29 in Louisville, Ky.
According to a press release, DRV will be showcasing its “residential-style” fifth-wheel lineup that includes the Mobile Suites, Mobile Suites Estates, Elite Suites and Tradition brands.
“Dealers come to Louisville wondering what’s going to give them that ‘Oh, wow’ moment,” said Rocky Holman, product manager for the Howe, Ind.-based builder. “We’ve got the ‘Oh, wow’ for them all day long. Over the past couple of years there’s been a lot of talk about a void in the residential luxury fifth-wheel market. We had it covered then, and we’ve got it covered now.”
Holman said DRV will be introducing a host of new home-like features such as standard residential refrigerators, dishwashers, garbage disposals, Lane furniture, Shaw flooring, solid-surface and quartz countertops, and soft close drawers. Other amenities include real-tile backsplashes, 48- and 60-inch showers, integrated fender skirts, straight fiberglass roof lines and larger LED TVs.
The DRV/Cruiser RV display will be in Booth No. 5309 in the West Wing of the Kentucky Exposition Center. “We’re right next to Prime Time and across from Keystone and Open Range, so we know we’re in a great high traffic spot,” said Holman. “Dealers are going to be amazed at what they see.”

Howe, Ind.-based DRV Luxury Suites is unveiling a new-look redesign of its Elite fifth-wheel lineup plus new floorplans in both its Select Suite and Mobile Suite lines at the upcoming 48th Annual National RV Trade Show, Nov. 30-Dec. 2 in Louisville, Dan Tauer, vice president, sales and marketing, reports.
“DRV Luxury Suites would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our dealers for the outstanding effort put forth for 2010,” Tauer states in a release to RVBUSINESS.com. “We are very excited about the Louisville Show and are heading into the show with high spirits after the large amount of retail activity that we experienced throughout 2010.
“Louisville is the best place to showcase our full line of luxury fifth-wheels and to show the industry what’s new for the upcoming year.”
Tauer says high-end fifth-wheel consumers’ expectations have prompted manufacturers to provide better quality and more residential amenities, and DRV has “once again set the pace with some exciting new changes” on display at Louisville.
“From our new uniquely designed Elite Suite that is unlike any other fifth-wheel on the market to our flagship Mobile Suite and our madeover Select Suite,” Tauer noted, “our dealers are in a perfect position to capitalize on an increasing demand for full time luxury fifth-wheels. Many other manufacturers have realized that our long-time commitment to this market is warranted by their efforts to enter this market, and we are very proud to say that this market is where we started and where we will keep our focus in the future.
“If you are a dealer and are not familiar with our products, we invite you to come see what an RV manufacturer can produce when their sole focus is luxury fifth-wheels. We have many things to offer our current and prospective dealers to capitalize in a growing market. We hope to see you there.”
