Goshen, Ind.-based Dutchmen Manufacturing Inc. announced today (Aug. 1) the introduction of a front lounge floorplan in its Infinity luxury fifth-wheel line.
“The traditional front lounge models offered by our competition have come up short when it comes to what the customer wants,” said Rob Groover, general manager of Dutchmen’s Komfort and Infinity brands. “Most front lounge floorplans feel very confined and claustrophobic. Rather than just copying what has already been done, we took it to the next level.”
Infinity’s new 3750FL floorplan has been engineered to create an airy and open living area that is three feet longer while offering more height in the slideouts. Groover said Infinity’s exclusive design offers an industry-first 6 foot 8 inch upper deck ceiling height, creating a spacious living area. Additionally, Dutchmen added expansive window scalping in the living area to let in more natural light.
“Infinity’s kitchen slideout incorporates a huge side-by-side refrigerator for a wide open feel,” Groover said. “Plus, our exterior pass-through compartment is more than three times larger than the competition. All of these exclusive features illustrate what has been our mantra from the start: Listen to our dealers and retail consumers – give them what they are asking for rather than building what we think they want.”
“The introduction of this new model will enhance our already successful Infinity luxury fifth-wheel offering,” said Dutchmen President Don Clark. “We continue to think outside the box at Dutchmen, focusing on innovation rather than just being yet another ‘me too’ brand.”

Don Clark, president of Dutchmen Manufacturing Inc., announced today that Dutchmen recently received the 2010 Coleman Licensee of the Year Award.
Jason McClintock, senior director, licensing for The Coleman Co. Inc., stated, “On behalf of the Coleman Co., it is my honor to present Dutchmen with the 2010 Coleman Licensee of the Year Award. It is extremely unusual for a company to receive this prestigious award, just after their first full year of receiving the Coleman license. It’s through hard work and dedication like Dutchmen’s that has placed the Coleman brand in a position of strength over its 111-year history.
“The red logo is as much Dutchmen’s as it is ours and we hope that through the continued partnership we can continue to give consumers quality products they can trust. Thank you for all you do to keep this brand strong. Dutchmen has much to be proud of and a lot to celebrate.”
Clark noted, “The Dutchmen team is proud and honored to receive this great award. Coleman and Dutchmen share similar philosophies with regard to strong reputations and tireless commitment of serving our customers. We look forward to our continued partnership and the success of the Coleman travel trailer and fifth-wheel product line.
“This award is very meaningful, coming on the heels of Dutchmen receiving the Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) award during the last RVDA convention. Our dealers’ increased confidence and support of Dutchmen is both appreciated and humbling.”

Don Clark, president of Dutchmen RV, announced today (May 13) the long-awaited introduction of the Infinity luxury fifth-wheel, which had been unveiled to select U.S. dealers this month and is now in full production at Dutchmen’s Goshen, Ind., production facility.
“The initial feedback on the new product line has been tremendous,” reported Rob Groover, general manager of the company’s Komfort and Infinity division, “During Infinity’s initial three-week dealer introduction road show, more than 25 dealers signed up for the brand.”
“Infinity is an entirely new line of luxury fifth-wheels designed from the ground up,” he added. “Over this past year, we polled some of the nation’s largest fifth-wheel dealers and asked them to help us create this product. We showed these dealers Infinity prototypes and included their feedback and suggestions into the design. The result is a brand that boasts many unique product advantages and offers more features and value than any other product in the luxury segment.”
Groover says the Infinity’s innovative interiors feature hand-rubbed, glazed cherry cabinet doors, stiles, drawers, passage doors and slideroom fascias. Upgraded hidden door hinges are standard, as are “plantation-style” wood blinds, flush mount solid-surface range covers, premium electronic packages, exclusive “no trip” cabinet systems in kitchen slides and halogen ceiling lights.
“Plus, Infinity features our patent pending Cedar-Suite walk-in closet design and an industry-first laminated, crowned ceiling design in the bedroom,” said Groover. “The new design allows for a full 6’8” of headroom in the bedroom. All floorplans feature a king-size bed with a designer hardwood headboard and upgraded memory foam mattress.”
As for basic construction, Groover said the Infinity “is built like no other product in its class” with a fully welded, aluminum-cage superstructure and six-way lamination, standard gelcoat fiberglass walls and an exclusive four-season “Glacial Insulation Package.”
While full body paint packages are available as an option, Infinity also includes a 90-degree extended turning radius front cap, hydraulic sliderooms and hydraulic landing gear that is controlled with a five-function remote control.”
“Luxury high-profile fifth-wheels have grown to be a major segment in the fifth-wheel marketplace,” says Clark. “We were very strategic and planned carefully to create a product that could dominate the segment. Previously, Dutchmen didn’t have an offering for our customers to trade up to without leaving the Dutchmen family. We wanted to address this point, but do it in a Dutchmen original, non-cookie-cutter fashion. Now with Infinity, we can offer the highest value full-timer coach in the industry – bar none!”
“I am very proud of Mr. Groover and his product development team for creating such a memorable coach.”
