Adventurer LP (ALP), which acquired the assets of La Grande, Ore.-based Eagle Cap Campers Inc. a year ago, has expanded the brand with the planned launch of a new Class C motorhome at the Nov. 29-Dec. 1 49th Annual National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky.
“ALP has been building Class C motorhomes since the mid 1980’s for a rental fleet in the tough and rugged Canadian north where the requirements for a quality-built unit to withstand those extremes, along with the constant use as a rental, has provided us with a unique perspective in Class C construction, insulation and quality,” said Greg Tucknies, national sales manager for ALP, which is building the product at the company’s Yakima, Wash., facility.
According to a press release, the Eagle Cap Class C line ranges in lengths of 19 to 31 feet with MSRP’s starting at $63,000. Standard features include air conditioning, interior and exterior LED lights, a “Dream Dinette” with seatbelts, the roomy “Arc” style shower enclosure, deep double bowl galley sinks, sealed burner stove with oven and a camper caddy storage system.
The motorhomes also offer exclusive TCC aluminum frame construction, three-year structural warranty, enclosed, insulated and heated tanks, and four-season insulation with thermal pane windows.
Also under the Eagle Cap brand, Adventurer will be displaying the 1165 triple-slide truck camper, offering maximum interior room in the 102-inch wide body design along with rear sofa, driver’s side dinette and passenger side galley sliderooms. The 1165 Triple slide also supports the largest interior storage of any truck camper in the industry with three wardrobe/closet areas and a floor to ceiling pantry behind the full-sized island making the 1165 Galley feel more like your kitchen at home.
In addition, ALP will be showing its redesigned Adventurer truck campers for 2012 offering upgraded interiors, including new fabrics, an Ozite ceiling and simulated tile flooring, along with the use of composites for lighter weight construction.
“We have trimmed 75 to 127 pounds in weight this year, even with all of the added features, with little to no price increase,” said Tucknies.
The truck campers are also equipped with all-new exterior graphics, exterior LED lights, the new sturdier Phat ladder, G3 fiberglass nose wrap with a triple sealing process for the seams, and camper guides that make the loading process easy by centering the camper between the wheel wells.
ALP will be displaying product in Booth No. 1520 at the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC).
Adventurer LP of Yakima, Wash., has acquired Eagle Cap Truck Campers and associated assets, rights to manufacture and intellectual property.
There will be a short break in Eagle Cap manufacturing while a dedicated assembly line and process is implemented at the Yakima facility, according to a news release. The purchase was effective on Monday (Nov. 22).
Production facilities and offices, which have been located in La Grande, Ore., since the company was founded nearly a decade ago, will move to Yakima.
“Eagle Cap is a quality brand with a dedicated following,” said James Epp, president of Adventurer LP. “We are pleased to add Eagle Cap to our product offering. We are truly committed to maintain the exceptional quality and exclusive design features that define the Eagle Cap Truck Camper in the marketplace. With an increased investment in product development, marketing and sales support provided by Adventurer LP, Eagle Cap Campers has the potential to grow significantly in the truck camper market.”
Eagle Cap Campers, operating as a division of Adventurer LP, will be looking to renew relationships with previously committed Eagle Cap dealers and will be seeking new dealers who would like to join the Eagle Cap family throughout the United States and Canada. Product and warranty support through these dealers will ensure all previous and new customers will be well cared for, the release stated.
An Eagle Cap truck camper will be on display at the 48th Annual National RV Trade Show Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 in Louisville, Ky., in the Adventurer LP display area. The display is in Space No. 5300 in the West Wing of the Kentucky Exposition Center.
“With the economic challenge the recreational vehicle industry has faced over the last two years showing signs of improvement, we believe the truck camper segment will continue to improve and innovate. We are excited about the added potential this acquisition brings,” Epp added.
