More families are looking for ways to vacation on a budget these days and hitting the road in eastern North Carolina is one way to do it.
The Eastern North Carolina RV Sales Event was in the Greenville Convention Center this past weekend. Venders from across the East brought their best in show. Folks could spend the day touring RVs of all styles and sizes.
Hawley’s Camping Center, with stores in Fayetteville and Raleigh, coordinated the event. The group recently brought the RV show to eastern Carolina. Organizers say more and more families are choosing to vacation RV style — it costs about 70% less than other forms of vacation travel.
“People still want to go out they want to enjoy themselves,” said Rowland Bostock of Hawley’s Camping Centers. “So the best way to do it is if they pick up an RV. And it doesn’t have to be a new one it can be a used one or a small popup, all the way to a Class A motorhome. Whatever fits their budget or lifestyle. But the nice thing is they have it and they can go every weekend.”
