Middlebury, Ind.-based EverGreen Recreational Vehicles LLC announced two new floorplans in its Ever-Lite line of travel trailers.
According to a press release, the lightweight, easy-to-tow Ever-Lite is the first product EverGreen RV produced when the company began manufacturing RVs in 2008 and has remained the flagship brand ever since. There are currently 10 travel trailer floorplans in the Ever-Lite line, eight offering a deep-slide.
The New 2013 Ever-Lite floorplans include:
• The 30RLW-DS Ever-Lite travel trailer is a deep-slide model with two entry doors and a slideout lounge and dinette. It features captain-style lounge chair seating in the rear of the coach and a mid dry bath. The sleeping area is separated from the rest of the coach by the bathroom and has its own entry door.
• The 30KIS-DIS Ever-Lite travel trailer is also a deep-slide model and features EverGreen’s new kitchen island. A slideout dinette and couch on one side with a slideout kitchen on the opposite side leave room for groups to mingle around the kitchen island, making it ideal for entertaining. This floorplan also comes with a rear dry bath.
Being in a leadership position is not unusual for Elkhart County entrepreneur and philanthropist Kelly Rose, according to a report in the Elkhart Truth.
Being in a leadership position and having to learn how to wave and decide what to wear, however, is definitely out of the ordinary. Yet Rose and his wife, Karen, prepared diligently to lead the Elkhart County 4-H Fair Parade on Sunday (July 22) as the grand marshals.
“It’s really neat,” Rose said. “What an honor.”
The pair were selected to take the helm of the parade because of their continuous behind-the-scenes support of the county fair and, most recently, for their work in raising funds to purchase the large swath of land adjacent to the fairgrounds. To fair board president Jack Lengacher Jr., picking the Roses to be the 2012 grand marshals was “almost a no-brainer” because they have been “instrumental in helping the fair be as successful as it has been.”
“They’re just really great people,” Lengacher said. “They’re the salt of the earth. They know they’ve been blessed. This is their way of giving back to the community.”
Rose and partner Mike Schoeffler have headed up several RV enterprises, including purchasing Starcraft Corp. out of bankruptcy in 1990 and subsequently selling the RV division to Jayco Inc. Rose is currently chairman of EverGreen Recreational Vehicles LLC in Middlebury, Ind., and subsidiary LIFESTYLE Luxury RV.

EverGreen Recreational Vehicle LLC’s latest reported figures from Coach-Net show that it is among the lowest in terms of utilization rates of the RV roadside assistance service, according to a press release.
“This means that EverGreen, as a manufacturer, has a documented low rate of usage of our two main services, which are technical phone assistance and dispatch services for RV owners who are having trouble or breakdowns with their coach or tow vehicle,” said Dan Lopez, vice president of sales and business development for National Motor Club and its suite of RV products and services offered under the Coach-Net brand.
A year of Coach-Net roadside assistance and technical support services is included in the purchase of all new EverGreen fifth-wheel and travel trailer products, including the Element, Ever-Lite, Ever-Lite Select, Ascend and i-Go fifth-wheels and travel trailers.
“These reports confirm that our products are well built and durable,” said Doug Lantz, EverGreen’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Each travel trailer and fifth-wheel is constructed to pass a rigorous 100-point testing system that includes rain booth, cabin pressure, gas systems and electrical systems testing.
“Our commitment toward creating a high quality product enables EverGreen RV owners to spend more time camping and less time at the dealer or service center getting work done on their coach, or worse yet – stranded out on the road.”
EverGreen Recreational Vehicles LLC announced the launch of its 2013 line of i-Go Lite fifth-wheels, according to a news release.
The Middlebury, Ind.-based towable builder said that new models in the i-Go line feature the same aluminum-framed, vacuum-laminated processes and 100-point quality control systems as all EverGreen products. A lightweight composite inner shell and a narrower, 7-foot, 6-inch wide trailer design has allowed EverGreen to reduce weight along with the price on the i-Go Lite series of fifth-wheels.
The two new models both offer deep 42-inch slideouts that are above the wheel well to provide higher ground clearance. Six-inches deeper than the competition, i-Go Lite slides provide the living space of an 8-foot wide fifth-wheel while retaining the towability of a 7 1/2-foot wide fiver. Slides are driven in all four corners with EverGreen’s quality four-point gear-driven system to provide smoother operation and a tighter seal.
The G27RK-5 floorplan features a rear-kitchen configuration with counter space and overhead storage across the entire rear of the coach. The large combo dinette and sofa slideout is opposite the kitchen. Access to the front bedroom is through a private bath on both fifth-wheels.
The G27RL-5 is a rear-lounge floorplan that is perfect for entertaining with a slide-out sofa and easy chairs in the back. A dinette is opposite the galley-style kitchen curbside.

Middlebury, Ind.-based towable builder EverGreen Recreational Vehicles LLC has added a kitchen island floorplan to its line of Ever-Lite and Ever-Lite Select “Deep Slide” travel trailers for 2012.
According to a press release, the new 30KIS-DS kitchen island model is especially designed for families that enjoy cooking and entertaining large gatherings. Perfect for serving meals, a full-sized, 42-inch deep slideout with a dinette that seats four adults and a sofa that seats three is directly across from the large kitchen island.
A full-sized porcelain sink is centered in the countertop of the island for easy clean up. Behind the island, another slideout provides ample counter and floor space for food preparation with easy, turn-around access from the sink to the standard three-burner stove with oven and hood, microwave, double-door fridge and spacious cabinet storage. The kitchen island also has a contemporary feel with radius end caps and plenty of storage drawers and cabinets.
The flagship of EverGreen Recreational Vehicles, the original Ever-Lite brand now has a total of 10 travel trailer floorplans built with full ComposiTek Construction. The new Ever-Lite Select has 16 floorplans built to be more affordable with a satin fiberglass exterior and a composite inner shell. Eight floorplans of both the Ever-Lite and Ever-Lite Selects brands are “Deep Slide” travel trailer models with larger 42-inch slides-like the new 30KIS-DS.

According to a news release, Walter spent the majority of his career in the RV industry serving in a variety of executive positions. With a background concentrated in senior sales and marketing posts, Walter ultimately became president of Holiday Rambler RV and Starcraft RV Inc.
Inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame in 2007, Walter was a long time participant in Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) activities culminating with service on the board’s executive committee. An early advocate for an industrywide national advertising and public relations campaign, Walter was appointed co-chairman of the Go RVing Coalition.
“We’re incredibly pleased to have someone with Don’s vast experience in the RV industry join us on our board,” said EverGreen’s founder and Chairman Kelly Rose. “He will be a key addition to our team as we continue to grow our brand and our company in the coming years.”

Middlebury, Ind.-based towable builder EverGreen Recreational Vehicles LLC announced that its Ever-Lite travel trailers were rated a “Best Buy” by Consumers Digest. According to a press release, the rating appears in the publication’s June 2012 issue and is online at www.consumersdigest.com.
“It is an incredible honor for us to be recognized as a ‘Best Buy’ by a publication as widely read and respected as Consumers Digest,” said EverGreen CEO Michael Schoeffler. “This recognition by a major consumer publication further validates our mission of making the most lightweight, durable, and green travel trailers and fifth wheels on the market.”
According to Consumers Digest, a “Best Buy” is a product that delivers exceptional value for a given amount of money and merits special attention from consumers based, in general, on its combination of eight criteria: performance, ease of use, features, quality of construction, warranty, efficiency, styling, and maintenance and service requirements.
“Best Buys” in travel trailers, specifically, were selected based on quality of construction, features, use of space, durability and ease of towing. Highlighted in the four-page review of the “Best Buys” for 2012 RVs was EverGreen’s use of durable, longer lasting, lightweight composites combined with vacuum lamination processes that resists water and mold damage.
“Unchecked water damage can destroy a new trailer in a matter of months,” said Jim Jussila of I-5 Uhlmann RV in Chehalis, Wash., who sells EverGreen and was also interviewed for the Consumers Digest article. “An all-composite trailer has the potential to outlast a conventional trailer by decades.”
Middlebury, Ind.-based EverGreen Recreation Vehicles LLC has added a third floorplan to its new ultra-lightweight Ascend travel trailer series – now available in 17-, 19- and 23-foot models.
According to a press release, the new Ascend can be towed by the family sedan or mid-sized SUVs with weights ranging from 2,900 to 3,950 pounds. EverGreen reported it has dedicated a full production line to the Ascend product at its Middlebury facility.
Key features include:
• Ascend’s vacuum laminated aluminum framed composite walls and floor lighten the coach, making the Ascend easier to tow with smaller tow vehicles like mid-sized SUVs or sedans.
• Ascend’s interior composites resist the occurrence of mold, mildew, and rot that degrade other RVs over time while also reducing the occurrence of VOC “off-gassing.
• A single seamless piece of fiberglass runs the entire length of the Ascend to make up its roof, front and back walls, adding structural integrity. The roof’s glossy finish is attractive and aerodynamic for improved fuel economy.
• In conjunction with the composite interior walls and floor, the underside of the Ascend is built with composites to better protect the coach from the elements.
Other differences found on the Ascend include a fresh water tank placed directly over the axle to reduce tongue weight and increase storage, as well as Beauflor padded enhanced flooring, adjustable axle hangers to lower or raise the unit height, and up to a 15,000 BTU roof air conditioning unit.
Ascend comes with a three-year limited structural warranty and one-year of free roadside assistance.
EverGreen Recreational Vehicles LLC announced the appointment of Mark Boessler as president, COO and shareholder of the Middlebury, Ind.-based towable builder.
