The latest air helper spring suspension products and accessories are highlighted in a new 2011 catalog and application guide available from Firestone Industrial Products Co. LLC.
Designed to help level a vehicle, maximize load capacity and improve a vehicle’s ride, Firestone’s complete suspension solutions include Ride-Rite, Sport-Rite, Coil-Rite and Level-Rite air helper springs; Work-Rite load assist springs; and the R4Tech hybrid air/leaf suspension system, according to a news release.
The R4Tech system, which has Firestone Ride-Rite air spring and SANLUIS Rassini suspension technologies, is designed to replace the factory leaf spring suspension to deliver an improved ride at all times by utilizing the variable spring rate of the air spring to stiffen when the truck is loaded and soften when unloaded.
Firestone’s catalog features detailed descriptions on their newest products for today’s cars, trucks, SUVs, vans, motorhomes and RVs, including the Dodge Ram 1500 Rear Coil to Air Conversion System — a no-drill, full air conversion kit that is designed to completely replace the factory coil spring with an air spring, converting the rear suspension to an Airide suspension for higher leveling capacity (up to the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating [GVWR] of the vehicle) than traditional systems. An overview of the company’s custom components for hot rods and unique builds – including air springs, compressors and air tanks – is also showcased.
In addition to the catalog, Firestone offers 2011 application guides that allow dealers to quickly search parts by vehicle make and model for both its Ride-Rite and R4Tech lines. The application guides feature a reverse parts lookup of the most popular kits as well.
Firestone’s 2011 catalog and application guide are available to download from its website, which also features new installation and application videos highlighting the products’ attributes. For more information, visit www.ride-rite.com.

Firestone Industrial Products Co. LLC offers its R4Tech hybrid air/leaf suspension system How To Get Ex Boyfriend Back for the 2008-’09 Ford F-250 and F-350 models. R4Tech, which replaces the factory leaf spring suspension, comprises a high-quality Firestone Ride-Rite air spring and SANLUIS Rassinileaf-spring suspension, positioned in a unique architecture to create a fully functional system that adjusts for varying load capacities. The suspension system delivers an improved ride at all times by utilizing the variable spring rate of the air spring to stiffen when the truck is loaded and soften when unloaded, according to a news release. An upgrade over traditional solutions, R4Tech increases axle control during acceleration and braking for improved torque management and reduced wheel hop. The design allows the suspension to move at all load conditions, therefore isolating and absorbing road impact for passengers and cargo alike. Plus, less steel in the system reduces weight in the vehicle and improves fuel economy. “By combining Firestone’s knowledge and resources as the ‘World’s No. 1 Air Spring’ – including air suspension technology, air spring design, tech support, marketing and distribution – and Rassini’s expertise in suspension systems, we have developed a premier suspension system that reduces the impact of the road on passengers, cargo and trailers,” said Paul Fessel, automotive OE sales manager, Firestone Industrial Products Company. “R4Tech is ideal for enthusiasts hauling their thoroughbred horses, race cars or any other type of trailer because it helps prevent damage to important cargo.” The complete R4Tech system comes with the Rassini foundation suspension – including leaf plates, lower trailing link, J-spring, spring perches and mounting brackets – the Airide™ air spring and an air compressor control system that maintains the proper air level in the spring for the exact load you’re carrying.
