An autopsy on the body of 75-year-old James Anderson, who was killed when a tornado hit the Fort Trodd Campground near Port Huron, Mich., last weekend shows he died instantly when he was hit by what may have been a flying trailer.
Kerry Anderson says the tornado struck too quickly for her dad to have a chance to save himself, according to WTVB Radio, Coldwater, Mich.
Three others from that campground remain hospitalized. The other survivors were just allowed back in Wednesday (June 30) to salvage possessions. The twister struck after they believed the danger had passed, but visitors to the campground would have had few places to hide even if they had been warned.
