Keystone RV Co.’s Fuzion toy hauler brand will be featured in a new reality show airing this November on a major cable television network.

According to a press release, Larry Overman heads up the six-part series which is being filmed now at the Crescent Mine (formerly named the Buckeye Mine) near Sumpter in eastern Oregon. The Buckeye Mine was once one of the most productive gold mines in the United States, but is rumored to be inhabited by ghosts and was shut down in 1957. Overton and his crew will attempt to reopen the mine on the show.

“We were looking for a roomy, rugged camper we could use both as living quarters and as a meeting location/headquarters,” Overton said. “Of the many RVs we considered the Fuzion toy hauler is absolutely the ideal vehicle for our use. The huge garage comfortably accommodates the whole crew during our daily planning sessions, and the living quarters are spacious and luxurious for me and my family. Once we saw the Fuzion my wife and I knew this was the camper for us.”

“Partnering in this network television series provides us with the opportunity to showcase the Fuzion to millions of weekly viewers,” said Keystone Fuzion Product Manager Tim Markel. “Fuzion is designed for the active lifestyle, for people who get out and enjoy the outdoors but who also value the comforts and quality we build into each coach. Larry and his crew of miners will definitely put the Fuzion to a test. We have no doubt Fuzion will pass with flying colors.”

The Fuzion being used on the show is a 398 floorplan with 14-foot garage, built-in picnic table, 20-foot patio awning, generator and extra large refrigerator. The triple-axle trailer will be set up as base camp at 5,400-foot elevation, miles from civilization.

Keystone RV Co.’s Fuzion toy hauler division announced today (Jan. 31) the appointment of Tim Markel as product manager, according to a press release.

A 10-year industry veteran, Markel most recently served as Keystone Raptor district sales manager for the east and southwest.

“Based on the excitement we see at early retail shows, the Fuzion line is dialed-in for success,” says Markel. “Fuzion’s new travel trailer and fifth-wheel floorplans, and industry-first Vizion full-basement fifth-wheel, are generating buzz and sales. I’m excited for the opportunity to lead the Fuzion brand. ”

According to Keystone group general manager Ryan Juday, the toy hauler market is poised for strong growth in 2012. “With our stand-out mix of products and outstanding dealer network, we expect Fuzion to capitalize on the resurging demand for toy haulers,” he said. “Our dealers are thrilled with what they see from Fuzion and this is translating into enthusiasm and sales.”

With a living room slideout height of 7-feet 5-inches, the new Fuzion 360 floorplan from Keystone RV Co., Elkhart, Ind., is gigantic.

In fact, the 360 slide is a foot taller than any other sport utility recreation vehicle (SURV) slide room manufactured today. The result is a tremendously spacious living area, jumbo-sized windows and voluminous overhead cabinets.

The Fuzion 360 is just now hitting dealer lots. In addition to the extra-tall slide, another distinctive feature of this model is the bath-and-a-half, side-aisle configuration in a floorplan under 40 feet in length.

Product manager Rob Groover attributes the Fuzion brand’s growing success to a strong dealer network and continuous improvements.

“As we talk with Fuzion dealers and Fuzion owners, we strive to incorporate many of their ideas into the product,’’ Groover said. ‘’These include many of the industry-first features originally seen in Fuzion’s Touring Edition models.”

New standards in the Fuzion line now include:

  • Dual fuel tanks — one for the generator and one for the toys — totaling 48 gallons.
  • Happi-Jac picnic table system in the garage.
  • Cove moldings where the wall and ceiling meet.
  • Dove-tail storage in the garage.
  • Electric fireplace in the living room (360 only).
  • Redesigned and additional drawers in the kitchen for more efficient use of space.

New options include:

  • Full-body paint on all fifth-wheel floorplans.
  • Dual air-conditioner system on all fifth-wheel floorplans.
  • Ramp-door patio system with side-railing on both fifth-wheels and travel trailers.

According to Statistical Surveys Inc.’s February 2010 retail report, the Keystone Fuzion brand is the No. 1 selling toy hauler in 2010.

“We are optimistic Fuzion can maintain this top ranking throughout the year. As a brand that has been on the market for just over three years, this would be incredible,’’ Grover said.
