Garmin International Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd., introduced the RV760Pro bundle that includes Garmin’s RV760LMT, BC 20 backup camera, custom BC 20 mount and a 50-foot extension cable. The integration of the RV760LMT and the BC 20 has created the RV760Pro, which “work together for a better RV driving experience,” according to a press release.
Starting Sept. 11, G3 Solutions, Garmin’s distributor of this product, will begin taking the first orders of RV760Pro at America’s Largest RV Show in Hershey, Pa., where ustomers and dealers will have a first look at the features the RV760Pro has to offer.
“G3 Solutions sees great value in the RV760Pro,” said Kathy Malcom, G3 Solutions director of sales. “The communication between Garmin’s navigation system and rearview camera makes this product stand out from the rest. While rearview cameras have become standard on motorized RV’s for a while, we feel their wireless backup camera integration with navigation offers the strongest product in the RV market today.”
The navigation device comes preloaded with detailed maps for the U.S. and Canada and also includes RV-related restrictions, such as bridge heights and related information for most major roads and highways. Users just enter their vehicle profile information (customizable by height, weight, length and width) to find routes suitable for their RV.
Within the navigation device is America’s RV Parks & Services Directory. It provides comprehensive information on RV parks and campgrounds and nearly 20,000 sites in the United States and Canada, including national and state parks as well as privately owned campgrounds. America’s RV Parks & Services Directory lets users search by 20 amenities – such as pet friendly, onsite laundry, Internet access, and electric hookups. It also includes more than 14,000 service locations, including towing, tire shops, truck stops and repairs.
G3 solutions will move forward with a new grill for RV manufacturers “serious about the quality and performance being built into their coach’s outdoor packages and kitchens,” according to a press release.
The new Weber electric grill heats to 600 degrees and is backed with a five-year warranty, extending Weber Stephen’s commitment to providing quality products to the RV industry.
G3 stated in the release, “The move we’re seeing by OEMs for the new model year is to choose wisely in accessories, and where potential RV buyers can and will measure value. With such strong competition at dealerships, having the best on-board makes a difference these days. Our second generation grill has attracted quite a few high profile leaders for this upcoming season.”
That includes Keystone RV Co., which recently added the grill to the High Country series in its Cougar brand, the industry’s best selling travel trailer and fifth-wheel line.
Cougar product manager Jeff Kloska believes Weber’s commitment to quality and innovation mirrors that of Cougar. “Adding the Weber to the High Country is a no-brainer,” he said. “In High Country we have incorporated more advanced features to enhance the camping experience. This Weber grill is one of those features that adds to customer satisfaction and continues to make Cougar the industry leader.”
A variety of new RV brands and models will be debuting Weber throughout the next few weeks at both the Pennsylvania RV and Campground Association (PRVCA) show in Hershey, Pa., and the Elkhart County RV Open House.
G3 Solutions Inc., a distributor of Dyson cordless vacuums to the RV industry, has added another premium brand name to its lineup with the introduction of a specially approved electric grill by Weber-Stephen Products LLC.
“For Louisville, we’ll have our Dyson cordless on over 35 models,” said G3 owner Jerry Eakle in a press release. “We’ve been able to go back into our current Dyson customers and give a preview of the Weber package we have built. With our original sights for the Weber set for springtime, the early reaction has made us speed up our timeline. Several OEM’s wanted to have the grill on their coaches by Louisville.”
Eakle said the Weber grill carries a UL/CUL listing while providing a 189 square inch cooking area, 13-amp and 1560 watts of power, and a surface cooking temperature of up to 600 degrees.
According to Jena Moore, G3 sales and marketing director, the Dyson Digital Slim vacuum offers power while eliminating cumbersome hoses, bags and OEM installs. “Women love it because they can reach for it and it works instantly,” she said. “Men love it because the Dyson engine is built like a rugged power tool with its lithium ion battery so they can convert it to a hand-held vacuum, enabling cleaning of their SUVs or trucks.”
“Better technologies are what we’ll continue to offer, or better ‘solutions’ to what may already be on-board,” said Eakle.
