Wixom, Mich.-based General RV Center, the largest family-owned RV retailer in the nation, has announced the grand opening of its brand new location in Huntley, Ill., on Wedneday (June 8).
According to a press release, the new location brings 70 jobs to the area and is one of the country’s first ground-up expansions of an RV supercenter in over two years, bringing the company’s total to 10 locations. General RV also has six dealerships in Michigan and one each in Florida, Ohio and Utah.
The grand opening celebration will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 am. RV manufacturer representatives and other industry members will be in attendance. Consumers will be able to tour the hundreds of motorhomes, travel trailers and fifth-wheels on display, and browsing the wide selection of parts and accessories in the new state-of-the-art supercenter.
Conveniently located near I-90 and IL-47, General RV said the Huntley supercenter will serve the entire region as an RV destination where people traveling can stop over for service, parts and accessories, or a new RV.
“We’re seeing more young families than ever before,” said Dennis Anderson, General RV spokesperson. “Young families are choosing RV vacations because it’s an affordable way to spend time together.”
