Campers who enjoy camping at Michigan International Speedway near Brooklyn, Mich., no longer have to wait for NASCAR season to arrive.
Campers will be able to stay at the MISCamping.com Graves Farm Campground seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It is the speedway’s newest campground off U.S. 12 just past M-50 in Brooklyn, according to the Jackson (Mich.) Citizen-Patriot.
“We are regarded as ‘NASCAR in a national park,’ and now everyone, not just race fans, will know why,” speedway President Roger Curtis said in a statement.
Sites are 25 by 50 feet, and all have electric hook-ups. Rustic sites also are available. The campground has a permanent shower and restroom building, along with walking trails, volleyball courts, fire pits, horseshoe pits, playground and picnic shelters, the release said. It will be patrolled by security 24 hours a day.
The cost is $25 per night. Sites can be reserved by calling (517) 592-1285 or visiting www.MISpeedway.com/seasonalcamping.
