The Greater Phildelphia RV & Camping Show this past weekend in Oaks, Pa., was pronounced the best RV show that has taken place in eastern Pennsylvania in years, according to a news release.

Just under 9,000 people visited the show and packed the aisles checking out all the new motorhomes, trailers, folding camping trailers and fifth-wheels. Dealers that exhibited in the show reported that customers were very positive about RVing and that sales of new RVs at the show exceeded expectations by a significant amount.

This was the first year for the Greater Philadelphia RV Show located at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in suburban Philadelphia, replacing several other RV shows that had previously run at the Valley Forge Convention Center and the Fort Washington Expo Center.

The Greater Philadelphia RV Show featured 10 RV dealers from eastern Pennsylvania and plans are already in place to expand the show to accommodate additional dealers for 2011.

Due to the overwhelming crowds on Saturday and Sunday, many of the dealers that exhibited RVs at the show said they will extended show specials for a limited time due to the fact that many visitors never got to talk to their sales representatives at the show.
