Initial dealer reaction to the release of Gulf Stream Coach Inc.’s rear-bath 19RBS floorplan in its VISA travel trailer line has been enthusiastic, according to a press release.
“Our introduction of a rear-bath 19-footer has dealers lining up to get spots on the VISA production schedule,” said National Sales Manager Tim Dennig, pointing out that factory output has increased 25% to accommodate the demand for the aerodynamic super lightweight towable that has earned Certified “Green” status from TRA Certification Inc.
Dennig said that VISA sales have been particularly strong among veteran trailer campers. “Our new 19RBS fulfills the expectations of camping couples who are looking for a generous walk-around queen bed, complete galley kitchen and spacious bath that spans the full with of the trailer,” he said.
Built with an aerodynamic one-piece laminated fiberglass roof that sweeps from the front hitch to the back bumper, the VISA by Gulf Stream uses curved surfaces inside as well, making the living area more spacious and inviting. Gulf Stream Coach Inc. affiliate Yellowstone RV, Nappanee Ind., announced the release of the Bull Dog line of “ruggedized” all-season travel trailers designed to provide secure, comfortable living accommodations for people who work in remote locations and extreme environments.
Initially developed for field workers in the oil drilling and pipeline construction industries, the Bull Dog serves as a work-ready outpost for anyone who needs housing that can be moved quickly and easily as job site locations change, according to a news release.
While Gulf Stream Coach continues to sell fleets of modified recreational travel trailers to oil workers and other mobile work crews, the new Bull Dog extends movable housing to work locations where no ordinary travel trailer would suffice. The expanded range of operation and purpose-driven design of the Bull Dog makes it an attractive solution for commercial rental fleets and international mining, drilling and construction firms.

Built on a 2-inch by 14-inch tubular steel frame and measuring just under 34 feet, the Bull Dog boasts two 100-pound LP tanks, two 35,000 BTU furnaces, two 110V baseboard heaters, a 13,500 BTU roof-mounted air conditioner, 93 gallons of fresh water, four 40-gallon waste water tanks, an 80-amp power converter and R-38 insulation in floor and ceiling.
Interior amenities include a 60-inch by 80-inch walk-around queen bed, huge banks of storage cabinets, a dry bath with tub/shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a jack-knife sofa and two flat screen TVs. Finishing out the interior is over 12 running feet of counter space that serves as a spacious, flexible workstation for computing, paperwork, gear repair and other on-the-job assignments.

Nappanee, Ind.-based Gulf Stream Coach Inc. reports that sales are brisk for a “couples-oriented” floorplan in the company’s Conquest and Innsbruck lightweight travel trailer lines.
According to a press release, the 29-foot 295SBW trailer weighs in at less than 6,800 pounds, making it “an easy, compliant tow, with a well-balanced corrosion-resistant powder-coated steel chassis.” The model is also equipped with a seamless roof.
Exterior walls of wood studs on 13-inch centers with thick batts of hand-cut fiberglass insulation are wrapped with heavy-gauge corrugated aluminum and anchored on top of the solid, durable floor with steel straps. The floor deck is screwed and glued to joists on 13-inch centers, for a solid feel underfoot.
Inside, Gulf Stream designers have chosen tough but stylish easy-care fabrics and wall coverings while flooring is a popular cut-resistant high-performance wood-grain vinyl that makes campsite cleanups quick and easy. Sales managers and executives of Nappanee, Ind.-based Gulf Stream Coach Inc. reported strong traffic and orders for its products at last week’s National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky., according to a press release.
Steve Jacobs, national sales manager for the Streamlite and Gulf Breeze lightweight trailer brands, cited an all-time first-day sales record for the Louisville event. Jacobs saw particular interest in the new “Champagne Edition” floorplans that feature completely new appointments, a convenient desk with drawers inside and an aerodynamic full front fiberglass cap outside. “As we break new ground in our top-of-the line Champagne Series, the things we learn benefit our XLT and Sport trim levels, too,” Jacobs said.

Gulf Stream Coach Inc. today (Aug. 17) announced that the Nappanee, Ind.-based company is inviting dealers participating in the Sept. 19-23 Elkhart Open House to a casino night party.
According to a press release, the event will take place Sept. 19 from 6-10 p.m. – with happy hour starting at 4 p.m. – at the Shea Pavillion on Gulf Stream’s Nappanee campus where more than 45 towables will be on display.
Chef Stanley, a fixture at Gulf Stream dealer events, will be serving his “world renowned” steak, shrimp and egg roll buffet while attendees can watch the Rams vs. Giants NFL game on big screen televisions.
Gulf Stream said it is concentrating on “strengthening its product lines and enhancing what’s working so well, with floorplan improvements, new interior décor packages and other upgrades.” At the same time, it is “continuing to increase product value while reducing weight in its units.”
