Luxury fifth-wheel builder DRV Luxury Suites is reporting strong growth with its top-of-the-line Elite Suites brand. According to a press release, orders for Elite Suites are up 33% compared to the same period in 2012.
“Retail customers have really taken to the product improvements we introduced at Louisville,” said Rocky Holman, product manager for the Howe, Ind.-based company.
With MSRPs reaching over $170,000, Elite Suites features standard MOR/ryde IS suspension, quartz countertops, Shaw vinyl wood plank flooring, ceramic tile backsplashes, stainless residential appliances and the high-end decorative lights.”
Holman noted that many luxury fifth-wheel builders fell victim to the recession as the market for high-end RVs evaporated. “DRV not only survived, but, thanks to our great dealer body and loyal customers, we emerged stronger than ever,” Holman said. “With Elite Suites, we’re poised to continue growing and meeting the needs of our customers. Knowing that our Elite Suites customers expect the best, we’re continuing to develop new ideas and floorplans to take their RVing experience to the next level.”

Smith, Kan.-based Peterson Industries Inc. said it has increased production of its line of luxury towables “in response to the news of Carriage Inc. closing and an influx of calls from Carriage dealers.”

Bryan Tillett, President of Peterson Industries, reports that Excel RVs continue to attract buyers to dealer lots across the country. “We’ve survived this economy for a reason,” he said. “Our company is built on excellent value, outstanding construction, luxurious amenities, solid warranties, and sound money management. Excel owners are very loyal to our brand; further evidence that we meet and exceed customer expectations.”
