South Bend, Ind.-based supplier Clean Seal Inc. today (Dec. 8) announced a partnership with Hoosier Thunder Motorsports.
According to a press release, Hoosier operates an 8,000-hp competitive top fuel dragster capable of traveling 1,000 feet in less than four seconds and reaching speeds in excess of 320 miles per hour. The dragster is owned and driven by Terry McMillen of Elkhart.
“We’re excited to be a part of this exhilarating sport,” said Bill Dawson, vice president/general manager at Clean Seal. “We’ve watched Terry ever since the days when he was driving a top fuel funny car in the early ’90’s and he’s been improving ever since. With his plans to place a second dragster in his stable, we are expecting big things.”
McMillen and the Hoosier Thunder team will be competing in some 23 NHRA races around the U.S. this season from Florida to California. During their “spare” time between races, McMillen and the team are frequently seen visiting hospitalized children in local hospitals.
