International Thermal Research (ITR) announces the introduction of the high-efficiency Oasis Zephyr HW hydronic heating system, designed for diesel-powered Class B and Class C motorhomes.

According to a press release, the Zephyr HW is a 12 volt (DC), diesel/bio-diesel-fueled, high efficiency, multi-zone apsce heating furnace offering continuous on-demand hot water. The state-of-the-art hydronic heating system includes ITR’s patented no smoke, no smell, low pressure burner with whisper-quiet operation and ultra-low emissions.

According to ITR, the Zephyr HW heater has a true output of 33,000 Btu’s with an additional 5200 Btu’s from a 1500 watt-120VAC electric element. The electric element provides limited heat and hot water without using the burner when the coach is running on AC with advanced electronics providing supplemental and automatic diesel heat if required.

The system also includes engine pre-heat and engine waste heat-management features while the fuel consumption to operate the unit is 0.28 gallons per hour of continuous operation. The unit is built and fully certified to UL and CSA standards and measures 10 inches high, 14 inches wide and 19 inches deep.

The Zephyr HW burner components and water jacket are marine-grade stainless, according to the company. The external case is finished with durable gunmetal powder coating.
