Goldshield Fiberglass Inc., an industry leader in custom molded composite products across a variety of industries including heavy truck and RV, today (Feb. 11) announced that it has successfully renewed its ISO 9000 certification – a designation given to companies who have implemented a quality system compliant with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Quality Management System.
This certification is a result of Goldshield Fiberglass Inc. successfully completing an audit by an independent quality system registrar, according to a news release.
Goldshield originally was QS-9000 certified in 1998. The company has maintained certification of their quality management system since then, with the most recent ISO 9001:2008 certification commencing in January and extending through January 2013.
“The ISO 9000 certification highlights the company’s ongoing commitment to our customers,” said Chuck Wilkinson, CEO of Goldshield Fiberglass Inc. “For over 10 years, we have embraced lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement in product quality, cost, and delivery. Our ISO certification ensures the integrity of our quality system. In addition, we benefit from a work force that has an average of 14 years of experience per employee and a management team with over 135 years of combined experience in the composite industry.”
“Goldshield is positioned for very positive growth over the next several years through sound partnerships with our current customer base, expanded new customer base development, and a more diverse product offering,” said Bryan Smith, General Manager of Goldshield Fiberglass, Inc. “Our continued commitment to quality system certification is a testament to the value we create in the relationships with our customers.”
