A recreational vehicle dealership in Gainesville, Fla., that was burglarized over the weekend lost an estimated $12,000 worth of electronics and suffered another $10,000 worth of damage, The Gainesville Sun reported.
The break-in happened at the J.D. Sanders RV Center at 12380 NW U.S. 441, according to the Alachua Police Department. Employees at the center said the damage was done sometime between 3 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.
Officer Jesse Sandusky said the fence surrounding the center was cut. Once inside, the person or people involved broke into about 30 motorhomes, including five that are privately owned. The doors to the motorcoaches were pried open, a process that Sandusky said did significant damage. A couple of dozen televisions, several DVD playersand other electronics were stolen.
