Jamatt RV Sales in Poteau, Okla., has been honored for the second consecutive year with the No. 1 dealer in the nation award from Gulf Stream Coach Inc. for its Conquest and Ameri-Lite RVs, according to the Poteau Daily News.
For two previous years, they were No. 2 and Sandy Blake, owner of Jamatt, stated, “We are very honored to win this award and very proud that we have been able to move from No. 2 to No. 1 in the nation.”
The sales representatives are always surprised to find out just how many trailers that Jamatt can sell in Poteau.
They were also surprised to find out how far away the customers are from. Mike Morgan recently sold an RV to a customer in Europe.
Sven Stein traveled all the way from Switzerland to purchase a Jamatt RV.
“We checked all over the Internet to find a truck and RV dealer,” stated Stein. “When you’re checking on the Internet, you must make sure the dealership is not too small and make sure it’s not a scam. With Jamatt, I chose the best.”
Stein said he used Google Earth to look at the store and saw that it had been on the map for at least three years. He decided it was time to visit Poteau.
Stein traveled to the Dallas airport with his friend, Andy Busch, to purchase a truck here in the U.S.
“We bought the fifth-wheel to drive across the states and Canada,” stated Stein. “The kids have a five-week holiday during the summer and we want to drive across a different part of the states every year before they grow up.”
Stein’s wife, Carmen, and their two children, Alicia, 7 and Fynn, 5 are excited about their future trips.
Stein is a banker in Switzerland and has established a company in Montana and was able to register the truck, buy the RV and purchase insurance in the U.S.
The two men picked up the fifth-wheel and are now headed to Las Vegas where the unit will be stored until they are ready to tour the states.
“It’s quite expensive to rent an RV so we just bought one,” stated Stein.
The time was right for Stein to buy an RV as the prices have dropped in the past few years.
“This is something we can’t do in Switzerland, “ stated Stein. “The roads are very curvy and citizens are not allowed to drive something as long and heavy as a trailer.
They are excited about the opportunity they now have to see the country and they look forward to spending their summer holidays in their new fifth-wheel from Jamatt RV.
