To mark its 25th Anniversary Golf Tournament on Aug. 8, the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) of Alberta has set a goal to raise $25,000 for the local Kids Cancer Care Foundation (KCCF).
According to a press release, the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta is “dedicated to helping young people and their families affected by cancer survive and thrive in body, mind and spirit.” Their programs are uniquely designed to meet the needs of the whole family at each stage in the cancer journey, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. The foundation is committed to changing the course of children’s cancer by providing programs and funding in four key areas: camp, research, hospital programs and scholarship.
In the release, RVDA of Alberta said it “is honored to have the support of their members and business partners in this effort to raise the $25,000 for the KCCF.” One member, Leslie Pringle of Eagle Lake RV Resort, will be celebrating the anniversary by donating her long hair to Hair Angels for Kids, finishing with a complete head shave at the tournament.
To help reach the $25,000 goal, donations for this event can be made by contacting the RVDA of Alberta or at the Kids Cancer Care Foundation at https://secure.csfm.com/kidscancer/donate/general/index.php. Once on the site, please fill out the form and choose “THIRD PARTY INITIATIVE” “RVDA”.
