“As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we continue to partner with successful dealers who take great care of their customers,” says Gary Conley, national sales manager. “We once again are experiencing year-over-year sales increases with our travel trailers.
“These significant enhancements will guarantee our dealers continued success with Lance travel trailers and ensure more and more customers get a chance to ‘Discover The Lance Difference’ for themselves.”
Lance Camper Manufacturing Corp. announced the official launch of their all-new retail product app, designed for all Windows 8-based devices.
Gary Conley, national sales manager, said in a press release, “The app is designed to provide the retail salesperson and Lance customers, no matter where they are, the latest information on Lance Camper Mfg. Corp., our products and our services, and ultimately help customers ‘Discover The Lance Difference’.”
Designed to be used on any Windows 8 touch-screen device including tablets, PCs and larger monitors, the Lance Camper product app is built using the Windows 8 platform, the most common platform for laptop devices in use today and also used in some mobile and tablet devices. Versions for use on other devices, including Apple and Android hardware, will be developed in the future, the company said.
“This easy-to-use app is a natural extension of the lancecamper.com website by providing Lance product information including the latest model floorplans, standard- and optional-feature information and images, full product specifications and Lance Look décor images” said Bob Rogers, marketing director. “It also features our very informative and popular Factory Tour video, detailed information on Lance’s key features like the Four Seasons All Weather Package, Lance Eco Green Certified, two-year limited warranty and LanceLock construction.”
But the Lance Camper app’s best feature, the company said, might just be its price, which is free. Conley added, “Lance has invested significantly in this app and knows it will help our dealers close more business, so we want it in every Lance sales professional’s hands. It’s that simple.”
Additionally, to help get the new app into dealership staff’s hands, for a limited time, Lance is adding eligible hardware purchases to their industry leading co-op marketing program.
“This event has become such a key show for manufacturers and dealers, we felt we really should be here this year,” Gary Conley, national sales manager, said in a press release. “This show allows our Midwest and East Coast dealer partners a chance to see the new product. With sales continuing to break records, and as a manufacturer who distributes truck campers, travel trailers and toy haulers throughout the entire U.S. and Canada, we have great opportunities for the right dealer partners in exclusive territories we would like to fill.”
The Lance product display will be located adjacent to the Chubby Trout restaurant at the southwest corner of Cassopolis Street and Hwy. 6. The display will be open Sept. 16-17, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sept. 18, 9 a.m to 4 p.m.

“With the popularity of the side-by-side sport utility market, and specifically the larger four place SXS’s like the Polaris RZR XP 4 1000, as well as large road bikes, utility quads and other toys, our customers are asking for a functional 12-foot cargo area, which we made sure the 2612 had,” stated Marketing Director Bob Rogers.
Gary Conley, National Sales Manager noted, “Our dealers and customers love what they see in the 2212, and the 2612 is the perfect floorplan for those needing a bit more cargo and/or sleeping capacity. The 2616 is really a ‘No Compromises’ toy hauler with a lengthy list of both standard and optional features, built to Lance’s high level of quality.”
“I have been involved in numerous toy hauler product development programs,” says Randy Hunter, manager for research & development at Lance, “and can tell you this is the highest quality product I have ever seen and am very proud to put the Lance chevron on it.”
“From our beginning in North Hollywood, Calif., and the first cab-over model, and with moves to larger facilities to accommodate our growth – first to Pacoima, Calif., and to our current state of the art facility in Lancaster, Calif. – our goal is and remains the same: build the highest quality product possible,” said Jack Cole, president and CEO, in a press release.
He added, “Although Lance has always been known as the leader in truck camper manufacturing, since the introduction of ultra-light travel trailers in 2009, our trailers have become the fastest selling models in the $20,000 to $30,000 price range, enjoying 53% growth in the first quarter of this year. And with the introduction of the all-new toy haulers, we have demonstrated the ability to adjust to consumer demand and market conditions, while staying true to our brand, true to our customers and committed to our dealer business partners.”
Bob Rogers, director of marketing, noted, “We are also very proud to have earned our 12th RV Dealers Association DSI Quality Circle Award at the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky., and RVDA’s Sue Caldwell Memorial Award for Outstanding Achievement in membership recruitment for adding members to RVDA’s membership ranks during 2013. We are working very hard to earn our 13th DSI Quality Circle Award this year.”
To help celebrate its 50th anniversary, Lance has designed a special product logo for its 2015 models to commemorate the milestone.
“We celebrate not ourselves with this milestone anniversary; rather, we celebrate our relationships and this industry that has been so very good to so many,” said Cole. “It will be a year-long celebration of looking back as well as looking forward, revising policies and procedures, refining what is working well and innovating to stay ahead of the competition. What we hope will be obvious throughout is how one thing has never changed: Our dedication to providing our customers the best built RV’s in the business.”
The Economy and The Future
Rogers stated, “As the economy continues to show steady growth with all key indicators moving in a positive direction, the Lance team is more experienced and stronger than ever, with technological capabilities that will keep us ahead of the competition.”

Lance Camper Manufacturing Corp. announced that its website, www.LanceCamper.com, along with a comprehensive social media program have produced double-digit growth throughout 2013.
According to Mark Hovanec, director of marketing for the Lancaster, Calif.-based builder, “It’s a coordinated effort. A quality site with good SEO and engaging content attract and retain a potential customer for a longer period of time.”
Hovanec reported that typical viewers stay on the site twice as long as last year, page views have quadrupled, and the bounce rate is well below acceptable internet standards.
“None of this would mean anything unless the efforts generated new business,” he said. “The number of e-mails, brochure downloads and requests for quotes has increased in order with the other site statistics.”
In addition to the website growth, Lance has committed to Facebook as the primary channel for social media. Additional presence is also on several other channels for relevance and SEO. The growth on Facebook fans has been dramatic. Growth in part is due to a focused ad campaign within the channel. This has contributed to close to a half million impressions per month.
