Lance will Display at ‘Elkhart RV Open House’

              Lancaster, Calif.-based Lance Manufacturing Corp. announced it would be attending this year’s Open House event in Elkhart, Ind. 

“This event has become such a key show for manufacturers and dealers, we felt we really should be here this year,” Gary Conley, national sales manager, said in a press release. “This show allows our Midwest and East Coast dealer partners a chance to see the new product. With sales continuing to break records, and as a manufacturer who distributes truck campers, travel trailers and toy haulers throughout the entire U.S. and Canada, we have great opportunities for the right dealer partners in exclusive territories we would like to fill.”

The Lance product display will be located adjacent to the Chubby Trout restaurant at the southwest corner of Cassopolis Street and Hwy. 6. The display will be open Sept. 16-17, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sept. 18, 9 a.m to 4 p.m. 

Lance representatives will be on hand to discuss details of the all new 2015 products, as well as available territories and wholesale programs. Food and beverages will also be served.

Production has started on the second floorplan in Lance Manufacturing Corp.’s new toy hauler lineup, which launched earlier this year. Lance reported in a written release that the new 2612 will be hitting dealers’ lots this week.

The full-featured 2612 boasts a 12-foot-2-inch cargo bay, which easily accommodates today’s full-sized four place side-by-sides, and sleeps eight people. Standard features include: air conditioning, 100-gallon fresh water tank, 40-gallon fuel station, electric 20-foot side and 7-foot rear awning with LED accent lighting, aluminum wheels, frameless dark tint windows, residential cabinet construction with hardwood doors, removable carpet kit, microwave, fiberglass front cap with LED accent lighting and pillowtop master suite mattress.

Optional equipment includes: keyless entry, 4K Onan generator, central vacuum system, premium Kicker stereo system w/subwoofer, 32-inch LCD flat-screen monitor, auto-tracking satellite dish, 160-watt solar panel, ramp door railing system, roof rack system, pull-out storage tray and enclosed, and heated and insulated holding tanks.

Lance Marks 50th With Rollout of 2015 Models

“From our beginning in North Hollywood, Calif., and the first cab-over model, and with moves to larger facilities to accommodate our growth – first to Pacoima, Calif., and to our current state of the art facility in Lancaster, Calif. – our goal is and remains the same: build the highest quality product possible,” said Jack Cole, president and CEO, in a press release. 

He added, “Although Lance has always been known as the leader in truck camper manufacturing, since the introduction of ultra-light travel trailers in 2009, our trailers have become the fastest selling models in the $20,000 to $30,000 price range, enjoying 53% growth in the first quarter of this year. Lance Camper & Sawyer Motorsports Partner

Lance Camper Manufacturing Corp. announced a partnership with Sawyer Motorsports and motocross rider Tanner Sawyer.

The Lancaster, Calif.-based company reported in a press release that the relationship is designed to promote its recently introduced toy hauler lines. Tanner is a local professional currently campaigning a Honda CRF450 on the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship outdoors series.

“Lance is excited to be able to help Tanner pursue his passion by providing the ultimate ‘no-compromises’ toy hauler to use as his home away from home while on the pro circuit,” said Bob Rogers, director of marketing for Lance.

Tanner noted, “The Lance 2212 toy hauler has everything we need to effectively run our program and lets me concentrate on racing. Lance Hires Bob Rogers as Director of Marketing

According to a press release, Rogers brings 25 years of marketing, sales and product background to Lance, including experience in the automotive, RV and motorsports industries with Nissan, Fleetwood RV Inc. and Kawasaki.

Lance Garners DSI Awards for Trailers, Campers

Lance Camper Manufacturing Corp. announced that it is the recipient of two separate Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) Awards for 2013.

According to a press release, the Lancaster, Calif.-based company was honored with the prestigious award for both its truck camper and travel trailer lines. Lance will be presented with the award on Dec. 2 during the RVDA Dealer Reception at the Crowne Plaza Hotel the evening before the opening of the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky.

Jack Cole, president of Lance Camper noted, “We’ve been committed to quality for almost a half a century and this honor not only confirms all of our efforts, but further motivates us to achieve new levels of excellence.

The DSI survey report data is comprised of the input from dealers from a series of questions related to sales support, territory, design, reliability/quality, competitive price/value, parts support, warranty support and overall dealer communications. Conley reported that in the question concerning “How likely would you be to recommend this brand to another dealer friend to handle at their dealership?” Lance scored 72.2% versus an industry average of 32.1%.

“Lance is a true leader in every respect,” said Conley. “The numbers show Lance preference at our dealers, which means happy customers and a great referral base. We expect to see this trend continue well into the future.”

Lance Camper Manufacturing Corp. has received the prestigious RVDA Sue Caldwell Award for outstanding achievement in membership recruitment.

According to a press release, the award was presented to the company Oct. 3 during the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) Annual Meeting in Las Vegas. The meeting was held in conjunction with the RV Dealers International Convention/Expo.

RVDA Chairman Jeff Hirsch noted that Lance was instrumental in adding 15 dealers to the association’s membership ranks during 2013. This award is presented to an individual or organization that recruits at least five new members in a 12-month period. National Sales Manager Gary Conley accepted the award on behalf of Lance.

Hirsch noted, “This is a great example of what happens when industry partners work together.”

Conley added, “Our dealer body is an important component in our success. Having our dealers become members of RVDA creates an even greater opportunity for growth. The RVDA provides productivity tools and many more opportunities for their members that are essential to success in today’s marketplace.”

Lance’s Website, Social Media Spurring Growth

Lance Camper Manufacturing Corp. announced that its website,, along with a comprehensive social media program have produced double-digit growth throughout 2013.

According to Mark Hovanec, director of marketing for the Lancaster, Calif.-based builder, “It’s a coordinated effort. A quality site with good SEO and engaging content attract and retain a potential customer for a longer period of time.”

Hovanec reported that typical viewers stay on the site twice as long as last year, page views have quadrupled, and the bounce rate is well below acceptable internet standards.

“None of this would mean anything unless the efforts generated new business,” he said. “The number of e-mails, brochure downloads and requests for quotes has increased in order with the other site statistics.”

In addition to the website growth, Lance has committed to Facebook as the primary channel for social media. Additional presence is also on several other channels for relevance and SEO. The growth on Facebook fans has been dramatic. Growth in part is due to a focused ad campaign within the channel. This has contributed to close to a half million impressions per month.

Lance to Receive DSI Award at Louisville Show

The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) will honor Lancaster, Calif.-based Lance Camper Manufacturing Corp. along with 12 other manufacturers with its Quality Circle Award on Nov. 26, prior to opening of the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky.

According to a press release, the honored brands had to receive at least 15 dealer responses and score 80% or above for overall dealer satisfaction in the Association’s 19th Annual Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) survey.

“We’re honored by the continued recognition by our dealers as represented by the DSI Award,” says Jack Cole, president of Lance Campers. “We continually strive to build an exceptional product – constantly challenging to best ourselves. And by incorporating dealer and consumer feedback, we seem to have a successful formula.”

In consideration of the DSI Award, the RVDA asks dealers to express their level of satisfaction on a number of factors that directly affect a high quality experience for the consumer.

The 19th Annual DSI survey was conducted between April and July 2012 with 461 dealers responding.
