Liberty Coach, a leader in the motorcoach conversion industry for more than 40 years, has announced that they are now installing a more energy-efficient exterior lighting system into all new and existing motorcoaches.
Lumitec, a Delray Beach, Fla., manufacturer of LED lighting primarily for the marine industry, is manufacturing a new LED lighting system designed by Liberty Coach and built exclusively for the luxury motorcoach company, according to a news release. As the designer of the new lighting system, Liberty Coach’s specifications planned for retrofitting the lights into existing coaches and incorporating them into all newly manufactured motor homes.
Unlike conventional incandescent lights, LED lighting differs greatly in terms of its expected service life, efficiency and the overall usability or efficacy of light output.
“These lights are so bright that they can light up a nearby coach well enough to work on it at night,” said Frank Konigseder, Liberty Coach vice president and co-owner. “They also have dimming capabilities, whiter light than conventional fluorescent or incandescent lights, are more efficient and last longer.”
The LED light not only burns brighter and lasts longer, but also looks more attractive. Built to naval specifications that require testing in the harshest weather conditions, the Lumitec lights are housed in a chrome-plated solid bronze casting that has a marine look and feel to it.
Liberty Coach continues to co-design products with manufacturers like Lumitec and investigate new technologies throughout the year to consistently maintain the highest level of quality and provide the most up-to-date technology for its customers’ convenience, safety and comfort.
Liberty Coach is also known for its unparalleled customer support. With cellular access points from any location, on-board electronics and other systems can be monitored and repaired remotely if a problem arises even while a customer is on the road. In addition, Liberty Coach provides its customers with the cellular telephone numbers of the sales staff to help with any unexpected emergencies, and transports its 53-foot service vehicle and support staff to major shows and rallies around the country.
