Livin’ Lite on Inc. List; Teams with Jeff Foxworthy

Livin’ Lite Recreational Vehicles LLC today (Aug. 23) announced a partnership with Foxworthy Outdoors, a new venture from celebrity and avid outdoorsman Jeff Foxworthy including products from hunting items to camping gear. The Foxworthy Outdoors brand will provide quality, value oriented products encouraging consumers to enjoy the great outdoors.

The news coincides with Wakarusa, Ind.-based Livin’ Lite’s earning the No. 278 position on Inc. magazine’s list of the 500 fastest-growing entrepreneurial businesses. Livin’ Lite was founded in 2002 and builds a full-line of lightweight all-aluminum campers and trailers. Inc. has published the list every year since 1981.

Foxworthy is one of the most respected and successful comedians in the country. He is the largest selling comedy-recording artist in history, a multiple Grammy Award nominee and bestselling author of more than twenty-six books. He was the host of the hit show Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader and most recently was the voice of Handy Smurf in The Smurfs.

Livin Lite, owned by Scott Tuttle, an innovator in the all-aluminum camper market, is excited about the partnership with Foxworthy Outdoors.

The Foxworthy Outdoors RV lineup features three distinct models of Livin Lite all-aluminum campers:

• Quicksilver Foxworthy Edition tent camper: A soft-top, automotive tent camper that can be pulled by any passenger car, even two-door, and ultra fuel-efficient models. These campers come in a choice of colorful exteriors including a full camouflage version for hunters and outdoorsmen decked out in REALTREE pattern camouflage. (Livin Lite is the exclusive licensee of REALTREE for tent campers.) The Quicksilver Foxworthy Edition models range in size from six- to ten-feet boxes and can sleep four to six people comfortably.

• Camplite Foxworthy Edition: A line of all-aluminum, enclosed travel trailers that come in a variety of automotive colors. These unique, ultra-lightweight travel trailers range in size from 11- to 16-feet and feature a number of family friendly floor plans, including bunk houses and queen bed models.

• Foxworthy Edition Toy Haulers – all-aluminum spacious models with rear ramp doors that can accommodate a family and their “toys” such as ATVs, motorcycles, golf carts and more. Models range in size from 10 feet to 30 feet, with multiple options for tip out bunks and fold-down beds and seating areas. Livin’ Lite to Add CR 6 Display for Open House

Livin’ Lite Recreational Vehicles LLC will set up product next to the Forest River Inc. display at the Dynamax Corp. facilities on C.R. 6 as part of Elkhart County’s 4th Annual RV Open House Week, set to take place Sept. 19-23.

The company previously announced that it will also be hosting a Dealer Open House at its headquarters in Wakarusa, Ind., during the same time period, scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day of the event.

According to a press release, Livin’ Lite will be showing updated models of its all-aluminum and composite RVs, including the Quicksilver automotive tent campers, Camplite ultra-light travel trailers and truck campers, and VRV toy haulers.

“We will be debuting new models, including a new all-aluminum tent camper with full LP systems, the Quicksilver XLP, as well as two new Camplite travel trailer floorplans,” said Scott Tuttle, president. “We will also introduce two new truck camper models, including what is sure to be the lightest, fully self-contained model ever built for a short-bed, light-duty pickup truck.”

Chrysler Now Marketing Livin’ Lite Trailers

Chrysler Group LLC Monday (July 19) began marketing its private-label, all-aluminum Jeep-brand folding camping trailer manufactured by Livin’ Lite Recreational Vehicles LLC, Wakarusa, Ind.

The Jeep Camper Trailer is being marketed through Chrysler’s Mopar division, which distributes approximately 280,000 OEM parts and accessories for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram trucks, and will be available through Mopar beginning Aug. 1.

”The Jeep brand is widely known for providing its customers with a sense of freedom and adventure, with a mix of vehicles to take them wherever they want to go,” said Mike Manley, president and CEO of the Jeep brand, in a press release. ”Families may hook up an off-road Jeep camper to their capable Jeep vehicle and enjoy an ultimate outdoor adventure that no other manufacturer can offer.”

The Jeep Camper Trailer is available in two nine-foot floorplans — the Jeep Trail and Jeep Extreme Trail, both incorporating Jeep Wrangler’s design cues, including Rubicon 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels, taillights, fender flairs, rear bumper, badging and hood tie-downs. The 4-sleeper campers have 850-pound and 1,050-pound dry weights, respectively with MSRPs of $9,995 and $11,995.

Livin’ Lite Debuts All-Aluminum Travel Trailer

campliteFolding camping trailer manufacturer Livin’ Lite Recreational Vehicles LLC has introduced its first travel trailer, the all-aluminum Camp Lite with a dry weight of 1,500 pounds.”We wanted to bring to the market a real lightweight, something that you can literally tow with anything,” said Livin’ Lite President Scott Tuttle whose Wakarusa, Ind., company also manufactures the Quicksilver folding camping trailer. ”This is basically a Quicksilver in a hard shell — a full size camper that they can take out and beat the heck out of. We’ve built a really rugged trailer.” Camp Lite is available in a 15-foot floorplan with rear bunk beds, convertible dinette, marine toilet, composite cabinets and countertops and lightweight European windows along with a 13,500 Btu low-profile air conditioner and heat strip. The 7-foot-wide line, 98% of which is recyclable, is built with laminated aluminum sidewalls on a three-inch tubular aluminum superstructure with 6 foot 5 inches ceilings. MSRP: $10,999.
