Monaco RV LLC executives said they were thrilled with the turnout at its inaugural “New Frontier” Rally held Oct. 26-30 in Tucson, Ariz.
Over 500 motorhomes took part in the event that featured activities such as golf, nightly entertainment and a number of informative seminars, according to a news release.
One such seminar featured an executive council from Monaco RV who met with over 800 owners to discuss the future of Monaco RV and the RV industry. The seminar was a major hit and many of its attendees were excited about having the opportunity to receive candid answers to their questions. Every make and model currently produced by Monaco RV was represented at the show.
“I cannot begin to express how great it was to see so many of our dear friends here in Tucson,” said Kay Toolson, president of Monaco RV. “It has been a long, difficult road this year and to see everyone enjoying the RV lifestyle in their motorhomes brought smiles to all of our faces. We were overwhelmed by the turnout here in Tucson, but we were especially touched by the support and encouragement we received.”
Monaco Coach Corp. went bankrupt earlier this year and certain assets were purchased by Navistar International Corp. which revived the Monaco line.
“The amount of interest and sales we were able to generate at the show was phenomenal,” said Mike Snell, senior vice president of sales and product development. “Four of our superior dealer partners were present representing our brands, and they did a tremendous job working with customers to help them purchase new units.
“It’s important to us to listen closely to the ideas and suggestions of the owners of our brands – after all, they are our best product experts. There is no substitute for their knowledge, experience and imagination when it comes to helping us create products that truly get RVers excited. Events like these provide the ideal environment for that sort of interaction.”
“Everything from the facilities to the parking to the new coach display was beyond our expectation,” said coach owner Laura Wyatt, who attended the rally with her husband, Don. We had a great time visiting with old friends and meeting many new ones, from all brands.”
Monaco RV is already in the early planning stages for its next rally, expected to take place some time next year. Organizers anticipate a location further east to accommodate those who could not attend the Tucson rally.
Monaco RV LLC will hold its first “New Frontier Rally” and new product display Oct. 26-30 at the Beaudry RV Resort and Rally Park in Tucson, Ariz.
“We’re celebrating our first combined company-hosted event as Monaco RV, a Navistar company,” the company states in a newsletter to all Monaco motorhome owners inviting them to the rally. “We have three great evenings of entertainment planned, as well as catered meals, cocktail hours, seminars, games and crafts, and for an extra fee, golf.”
Seminars will include Pat Carroll’s “Men/Women Only” Q&A sessions and one titled “Navistar’s Purchase of MNC.” In this session, a company representative from Monaco RV and Navistar International Corp. will outline the details of the former Monaco Coach Corp.’s bankruptcy, the Navistar purchase and the future for Navistar and Monaco RV.
The Monaco RV Parts Trailer will be on site, and Beaudry RV techs will be servicing coaches at a discounted hourly rate for those who signed up during registration.
New, 2010 Monaco products also will be displayed at the rally.
All Monaco, Holiday Rambler, Beaver and Safari brand motorhomes will be welcome at the rally, and the company is expanding its offer to owners of other motorhome brands.
