Keystone RV Co.’s Outback division marked a major milestone during the recent National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky., with the introduction of the 10th Anniversary Edition Outback travel trailer and Sydney fifth-wheel.
One of Keystone’s best selling brands, Outback has incorporated more than a dozen major product improvements into the new 10th Anniversary Edition, according to a news release.
According to Outback product manager Tim Domiano, dealer response to the 10th Anniversary Edition has been off the charts. Says Domiano, “I have been involved with Outback since day one, 10 years ago. Never before have I seen such dealer excitement. The big changes we made on the exterior and interior have blown our dealers away and all the many refinements are icing on the cake.”
Included among the many 10th Anniversary Edition improvements:
- Sculptured, automotive-style gel-coat fiberglass front cap has been added to the Outback travel trailer line, replacing the plain Filon-front wall of previous models.
- LED hitch lights have been integrated into the front cap, supplanting less energy-efficient incandescent lights.
- Distinctive 10th Anniversary graphics with new stripes and colors replace previous graphics.
- Use of metal arched roof trusses to create a vaulted ceiling throughout the entire length of the coach resulting in a more spacious interior and almost 7-feet of interior height.
Matt Zimmerman, Outback division group general manager, added that he expects Outback’s current 13.7% market share gain to accelerate once the new 10th Anniversary models hit dealers lots in early 2011. Says Zimmerman, “Based on dealer response at Louisville, we are anticipating strong growth next year. Today we are taking steps to ensure that production capacity for the new Outback 10th Anniversary Edition will meet our customers’ needs.”
