Outdoors RV Ready for Second Stage Growth

October 5, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Outdoors RV Mfg.Outdoors RV Manufacturing Inc.’s business has continued to grow beyond its best estimates since its startup in June 2009, even in what has now developed in to be a very challenging RV market, according to a news release.

“The key for us and our dealers has been the exceptional retail turn we have been able to achieve within our first year with our varied brand offerings across the mid and entry travel trailer markets,” said Jim Croxton, general manager for the La Grande, Ore.-based manufacturer. “Our marketing strategy has proven to be very successful for our dealers and our operations by allowing each dealer large trade areas and then providing exceptional sales training and support as well as our commitment not to develop sister (copycat) products that would deplete the value of our brands within their trade areas.

“We originally concentrated our product offerings with four distinct brands, (WindRiver, Timber Ridge, CreekSide, Tamarack Trail), and now we have recently introduced another brand Outdoors RV, Back Country, as a new entry-level product that our dealers had requested.”

Outdoors RV has continued to exceed is business growth plan by staying close with its dealers, listening to their needs and responding quickly to many of their requests enabling the company to provide them with products that meet the current customer’s requirements and providing dealers with great turning products at their dealership, Croxton said.

“Our tremendous growth encompassed with exposure through the Internet on our website (www.outdoorsrvmfg.com) has resulted in generating a tremendous amount of interest by customers outside our current basic trade areas in the Northwest and Western Canada. Our plans have always been to control our growth throughout the first year to insure that we could serve our dealers needs before we expanded to other trade areas outside the Northwest and Western Canada,” Croxton continued.

“We now believe we are ready, willing and able to begin our second stage of growth by expanding our dealer network and are currently researching for partnering dealers further south and east into areas of California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. We have added industry veteran Troy Johnson to our sales team in anticipation of this growth and to maintain industry leading support to our current dealer partners.

“Our future success will continue to be based on partnering with dealers allowing for large trade areas, listening and responding quickly to dealers needs, providing innovative well featured products and great service to our customers and dealers throughout the territories that we serve.”
