LogoWhile snowflakes swirled through the air outside Outlet in West Fargo, N.D., a contingent of RVs stood their ground, heralding promises of languid summer days to come, Fargo’s The Forum reported.

Sometimes people will wander through Outlet’s new showroom just to kill time and dream about summer, said Mike Larson, who manages and owns the business with Jim Glenn.

Outlet, a business that sells new and used recreational equipment, parts and accessories, recently moved from 3185 Main Ave. in Fargo to 2249 Main Ave. E. in West Fargo.

The move gave the business seven acres of land on a full city block and a massive 30,000-square-foot building that houses a shop that can accommodate 18 RVs and a showroom big enough for about 20 RVs, Larson said.

The indoor showroom lets the business showcase all of a camper’s features year-round, he said.

Outlet sells a range of recreational vehicles from popup campers to diesel motorhomes as well as golf cars and ice houses. It also offers rentals.

The business opened in 2007, and though a sluggish economy has pinched many pocketbooks in recent years, business has blossomed for Outlet

“We didn’t anticipate being as busy as we have been,” Larson said. “We needed a bigger facility to service our customers.”

Outlet pricing and a good used selection have made Outlet a great solution for people who want to vacation with their families at an affordable price, Larson said.

“Our whole mission in this business is to be priced at an outlet level,” said Larson, who has been in the industry for 12 years. “We work really hard to find nice, used stuff so we always have a great selection.”

Ronnie Dick of Lisbon, N.D., has purchased four campers from Outlet He said he’s pretty much a regular customer and has recommended the business to many people.

“They bent over backwards for us,” he said. “I’ve never been around anyone who’s helped us as much as they have.”

Jeff Gudding of Moorhead bought a camper at Outlet last year and said it was a good experience.

“They have a good reputation, and they stand behind what they sell,” he said.

Outlet also owns the Moorhead KOA Kampground at 4396 28th Ave. S. and plans to convert it into an independent campground and rename it The Fargo-Moorhead Campground, opening May 1. The change will allow the campground to offer some longer-stay options, Larson said.

The business is planning a grand opening for its new facility April 28-30.
