Montana-based Pierce RV Supercenter has added a third dealership to its holdings in Billings and Kalispell with the acquisition of McCollum Modern RVs in Great Falls. According to a report in the Great Falls Tribune, McCollum founder Harold McCollum sold the store and is retiring after 44 years in the business.
“When we take over McCollum, we’ve picked up a few product lines we didn’t have before, and we’re adding a few product lines that weren’t in Great Falls,” said Andy Piccioni, marketing director for Pierce Companies. “We can move the inventory back and forth among the centers, depending on what customers want, and broadening the choice available.”
Pierce RV Supercenter has more than 25 different product lines, and an inventory that exceeds 400 RVs at the three locations, according to a news release from the company.
All of McCollum RV’s 10 employees and managers were retained, which was very important to McCollum, Piccioni said.
“Customers can rely on the same great service they had, and we will try to honor all warranties,” he added.
Pierce RV sells tent trailers, travel trailers, fifth-wheels, toy haulers, and class A and C motorhomes. It also offers the largest rental fleet of RVs in Montana, Piccioni said. Pierce Companies, which include a variety of businesses throughout Montana in addition to the three RV dealerships, are owned by Ron Pierce of Billings.
