Progress Manufacturing Inc., maker of the Equal-i-zer Hitch and Fastway Trailer brands, announced it has partnered with Dealer Resources Group.

According to a press release, Dealer Resources Group (DRG) will represent Progress trailer hitch products with the company’s dealers, providing sales, training, product insight and customer service.

“At Progress, we all love to RV, so we know how RVers think,” said Progress Vice President of Sales Rich Elliott. “A trailer is a big investment, and when people buy one, they want the best hitch available, so both their investment and their family will be safe.

“With DRG assisting us with dealer sales, training, and education, customers will receive the information they need to make the best hitch decision, getting people on the road faster with confidence.”

Progress reported that the partnership resulted from the success of its Equal-i-zer Hitch and Fastway Trailer products, which enjoyed strong growth over the last two years and anticipates a record-breaking 2014.

“It has been a great couple years for us, and this year looks to be even better,” said Progress CEO Jed Anderson. “We have some strong talent at our company, and with our great team and DRG’s assistance, we look forward to seeing a lot of happy campers on the road this summer.”

Progress Offering Web Training on Equal-i-zer

March 6, 2013 by · Comments Off on Progress Offering Web Training on Equal-i-zer

The Original Equal-i-zer Sway Control Hitch, produced by Progress Manufacturing Inc., is now offering interactive web-based product training targeting RV dealership parts, service and sales teams.

According to a press release, areas of focus include improving customer satisfaction, growing revenue and increasing margins. The interactive video series gives “dealers the knowledge and confidence they need to be sway control experts for their RV customers.”

“While doing on-site RV dealership trainings we realized how powerful it would be to have these trainings in every dealership,” said Progress Manufacturing Sales Manager Rich Elliott. “Dealers who take advantage of this online tool will always have the benefit of training at their fingertips.”

Dealerships that complete the training will receive a special icon next to their dealership information on Equal-i-zer’s website.  This icon will give the dealer priority search benefits when a consumer searches for a dealership to purchase from.  Dealership employees that complete the training will also receive training hours toward RVIA/RVDA certifications.

“Experience has shown us that better trained dealers have higher customer satisfaction and sell more product,” said Kim Dewsnup, who is featured in the training.

“We are always looking for ways to support our great dealers,” said Deven McCann, also featured in the training. “Our hope is this video training series will give our dealers a boost in their sales margins and educate dealer personnel on the value of the Equal-i-zer Hitch.”

The training can be found by logging on to and clicking on the “Dealer Login” tab to begin.
