ProLite RV, Canadian manufacturers of the Ultra Light Travel Trailer that is gaining in popularity, has recently hired on 25 more full-time production workers.

“Having added 14 new dealers to the ProLite team since the fall, this second wave of new workers will help the plant fill the orders that are coming in on a daily basis,” Brad Harvey, the outside salesman for ProLite, stated in a news release. All new employees will undergo a 10-12 day orientation period around the facility before actually taking on a full time assembly position.

The company is based in St. Jerome, Quebec, located just north of Montreal.

“There are still a few key areas left in Canada where good dealer representation is required. When those areas are filled, it’s ‘full steam ahead.'” stated  Harvey. “We’ve had new dealers sign on and order products having never seen it before. That’s how confident they are. The Canadian dealer network is fairly close-knit and so dealers have been calling around asking questions. The increase in sales tells one that the information they are sharing is very positive.”

In a short span of time over the fall and winter months, ProLite RV from St. Jerome, Quebec, has added 11 dealers (representing 15 locations) to its already well established Quebec sales outlets.

In their 11th year of manufacturing “Ultra Light” Travel Trailers, the company has a dealer network that now stretches from coast to coast across Canada’s vast landscape, according to a news release.

New dealers have done extremely well selling them at the winter RV shows and ProLite has recently hired on more staff to keep up with the growing demand for “true” Ultra Light Travel Trailers.

“There are still areas available with huge sales potential,” states one of the company’s managers. With gas prices rising to their highest since 2008, Ultra Light Travel Trailers have become the RV of choice for many consumers driving smaller vehicles that still want to enjoy the outdoor experience.
