Registration is now open for the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s (RVIA) 2012 Annual Meeting, taking place March 4-9 at Rancho Las Palmas in Palm Springs, Calif. According to an article in RVIA Today Express, the event provides members numerous opportunities to learn about association activities, attend educational seminars and interact with business colleagues.
“RVIA’s annual meeting is a perfect opportunity for members to become more involved in the association and participate in addressing both industry challenges and individual concerns,” said RVIA President Richard Coon. “This year’s event will feature a combination of committee meetings, seminars, presentations and networking events that will provide information and ideas to help members plan for 2012 and beyond.”
The event kicks off with meetings of the RVIA Executive Committee and board on March 5. The following day, the association’s China, public relations, and national show committees will convene for meetings. RVIA will host a welcome reception that evening for attendees.
On March 7, an alumni breakfast is scheduled to honor retired members of the association’s board attending the event. There will also be a series of entertaining, informative seminars throughout the morning, including sessions on social media from acclaimed speaker Jared Hamilton; the economic outlook from noted economist Todd Buchholz; and the political environment from Washington insider Charlie Cook. A golf tournament is scheduled in the afternoon.
RVIA will host its annual membership meeting on March 8. This program will feature remarks by Hans-Karl Sternberg, secretary general of the European Caravan Federation (ECF), on the current status of the European RV market and the outlook for 2012. There will also be reports on association activities from key officials including RVIA Chairman Gregg Fore and Coon. The day will also include a meeting of the Annual Meeting committee in the afternoon and the Chairman’s reception and dinner that evening.
Recently renovated, Rancho Las Palmas is a conference resort nestled in the heart of Rancho Mirage, at the base of the San Jacinto Mountain Range in the Coachella Valley. It offers state-of-the-art meeting facilities stretched across 41,000 square feet of conference space.
RVIA is encouraging members to join industry colleagues at the 2012 Annual Meeting. There are several registration categories and discounts for those registering by Feb. 6. Brochures with complete details were sent to members in late December. For more information, contact RVIA’s meetings department at (703) 620-6003, ext. 305.
