RVT.com, a leading Internet classifieds ad site, is reporting that its RV shopper traffic rose 32.4% to 9.2 million in 2012 compared with one year prior, and that RV shoppers visiting the site from mobile devices increased by more than 267%.
According to a press release, RVT.com also reported that the number of iPad visits – whether coming to the website directly or through the RVT.com iPad app – increased by 425% from 189,541 visits in 2011 to 995,684 visits in 2012.
“The work we’ve done in the past couple of years in SEO, website enhancement and mobile app and site development has paid off in a significant jump in RV consumer traffic to RVT.com,” said Shawn Friesen, RVT.com vice president. “All the online tools we’ve provided to RV dealers and sellers to help them reach customers online – including Google Search plus Facebook and our mobile website and apps for the iPad and iPhone are resulting in record breaking lead generation and ultimately sales.”
Visits to RVT.com’s related websites also jumped in 2012, with visits to RVTowables.com up 45% and visits to RVMotorized.com up 130% in 2012 over the prior year.
