TACH-TV and RV Cooking Show have teamed up to air a full season of RV Cooking Show episodes on The Auto Channel’s over-the-air and cable broadcast TV network. The network is currently available in the South Florida market with plans to expand to the RV-friendly states of California, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Massachusetts in the near future, according to a news release.
The show will run in the 3 p.m. time slot on Sundays and again at 4:40 p.m. on Wednesdays. Viewers are invited to join RV Cooking Show host Evanne Schmarder on her RV adventures to both popular and secret RV destinations and re-create local, destination-related dishes in her RV kitchen. This TACH-TV/RV Cooking Show season offers viewers nearly 20 interesting road travel destinations and recipes that can be prepared on the road or at home.
“Anyone interested in automobiles or has done online vehicle research has certainly come across the information-rich TheAutoChannel.com website,” said Schmarder. “When The Auto Channel executive vice president Marc J. Rauch asked if I’d like to be part of their new TACH-TV network line-up I was thrilled. Marc and his team have a proven track record for delivering valuable content to a broad audience. It’s an exciting opportunity to be part of a top-notch broadcast team.”
“Evanne’s RV Cooking Show is a perfect complement to our menu of automotive related TV programming and online content,” said Rauch. “Not only does the show serve those in our audience who have an interest in RVs, motorhomes and travel trailers in a traditional manner by exploring exciting destinations, it addresses the greater lifestyle interest in cooking and cuisine. It’s a mouth-watering show anyway you look at it.”
The RV Cooking Show can be seen on TACH-TV television stations as well as on the everything-automotive website www.TheAutoChannel.com and its RV sister site, www.RVMotoring.com. For more information, contact Schmarder at evanne@RVCookingShow.com or Rauch at mjrauch@TheAutoChannel.com.
Combining forces to offer RVing consumers a learning resource for using and maintaining their RVs as well as discovering interesting RV destinations and delicious dishes, RV Education 101 (www.RVEducation101.com) and “RV Cooking Show” (www.RVCookingShow.com) aim to help RVers become RV savvy in more ways than one through their new partnership.
“RV Education 101” is a leading provider of educational videos, books and RV information and is also the producer of “Mark’s RV Garage,” an Internet television how-to series teaching RVers the ins and outs of RVing.
“The RV Cooking Show,” part RV travel guide, part cooking class on wheels, widely available across the Internet on a number of popular RVing websites as well as the “RV Cooking Show” site, shares information about not-to-be missed RV destinations and shows RVers how to create fantastic destination-related dishes in their own RV kitchens.
“It’s a great fit for both of our audiences. There’s more to RVing than the RV itself,” Mark and Dawn Polk, co-owners of RV Education 101, stated in a news release. “We want to offer technical information but we also want to provide relevant information on the entire scope of RVing. The joint venture with ‘RV Cooking Show’ is a great way to help educate consumers about many aspects of RVing and for people new to RVing to see firsthand what it’s all about.”
“Partnering with industry experts such as the Polks is a tremendous benefit to our audience. Their experience in RV know-how paired with our traveling and dining expertise serves viewers a well-rounded diet of RV smarts,” remarked Evanne Schmarder, producer and host of the “RV Cooking Show.” “We are absolutely delighted to be associated with RV Education 101 and ‘Mark’s RV Garage.’”
Dawn Polk added, “RV Education 101 is the industry’s voice on operational and safety issues and RV Cooking Show is the industry’s voice on must-see destinations and location-related food preparation in the RV kitchen. RVers are hungry for both categories – travel and meal planning/preparation along with RV knowledge and information.”
The RV Cooking Show, a virtual cooking class on wheels with an RV travel twist, announced Tuesday (Jan. 25) it had partnered with Phoenix, Ariz.-based Horizon RV Resorts on an upcoming five episode series showcasing central California’s Santa Ynez Valley and Horizon’s Flying Flags RV Resort located in the picturesque town of Solvang.
The RV Cooking Show takes viewers on adventures to some of the most sought-after or interesting but little-known RV locales in the country and then creates healthy, easy, destination-related dishes in show producer and host Evanne Schmarder’s RV kitchen. From rolling hills and wonderful wineries to activities and attractions to fresh, local flavors, the RV Cooking Show will share the bounty of the area — in the heart of Santa Barbara’s wine country — with those who love to travel and love to eat.
The series will include two live events at Flying Flags as well as a number of exciting extras for live and virtual viewers.
“The Santa Ynez/Santa Barbara region is rich in natural beauty, history and, no surprise, is a foodie paradise. We are thrilled to bring the best of this remarkable area and its trademark taste sensations to our fans all across the globe. This series is going to be simply terrific,” said Schmarder.
“Just as with pairing great wine with great food, the pairing of Evanne’s RV Cooking Show with Flying Flags RV Resort promises to be spectacular. It is a perfect match, and we’re certain that our guests, along with all of the RV Cooking Show’s fans, are in for something truly remarkable. We can’t wait!” added Randy Hendrickson, president of Horizon RV Resorts.
Filming of the five-episode series — dubbed “Food, Fun & Friends at Flying Flags “ — will take place this spring and will be available in time for the summer travel season.
