Boring, Ore.-based RV Glasparts has revived its RV windshield replacement business, originally established in 1987.
According to a press release, Doug Wickham and Dianne Lea are resuming operations based on a business model that delivers product at a lower cost and “eliminates the hassles created by dealing with insurance companies.”
“In these difficult financial times we believe we have a legitimate way to cut replacement costs,” said Lea, previously president of Peninsula Glass Co. before joining RV Glasparts.
The company said that RV dealers can expect to save on unit prices compared to current costs. Lea added, “RV owners will also benefit. Coach owners can purchase a replacement windshield, have it shipped to a local shop, get it installed, and still spend less than their $500 deductible.”
