RV123.com’s announced that Steve Roddy has joined the RV-specific website as a tech tips writer.
According to a press release, Roddy brings an extensive background in the industry that dates back to the 1980s, when he worked at a “mom and pop dealer” in Ohio. He worked in various industry capacities for the past three decades, and in 1998 was hired as service director for the Florida RV Trade Association’s (FRVTA) Distance Learning Network.
In that role, he runs a web-based certification prep course that is used by dealers all across the country. He also works as a master certified tech services manager at LazyDays RV and as a parts and service director at Camping World of Bartow, Fla.
During Roddy’s career in RV service, he spent a three-year period as a fulltime RVer, traveled and working in several different states.
“My initial goal was to stay in the RV business until I decided what he wanted to do with my life,” he said. “After more than 30 years in the business, I still haven’t decided.”
