Exuma Technologies, a leading producer of management software for the RV & marine industries, announced the latest product offerings that integrate with RVMaster, their RV dealer management software.
According to a press release, its new ThreeClix offers “real time lead management delivered via a sales person’s smart phone that is a first for the RV industry and highlights Exuma’s commitment to delivering the latest and most effective technologies to its customers.” The company is also offering a hosted cloud computing solution for those RV dealerships that don’t want to invest heavily in typical hardware and network infrastructure expenses.
“Today’s dealerships are becoming more and more dependent upon mobile solutions,” said Cam Collins, CEO of Exuma Technologies. “Our cloud computing environment gives our dealers the ability to access their data via a secure Internet connection accessible from a wide range of devices from virtually anywhere.”
RVMaster was unveiled at the RV Dealers National Convention and Expo in 2010 and Exuma has taken several RV dealers live on the system since that time. At this year’s Oct. 3-7 convention in Las Vegas, the company will highlight the functionality of the dealer management system and the suite of new features, while also unveiling and demonstrating its other new product lines.
Commander Kirk Lippold, USN (Ret.), commanding officer of the USS Cole when it was attacked by al Qaeda in the port of Aden, Yemen, will be the guest speaker at a special industry breakfast on Oct. 6 during the 2011 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The convention is sponsored by the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA), RVDA of Canada, and the RV Learning Center.
According to a press release, Lippold and his crew distinguished themselves by saving the American war ship from sinking during one of al Qaeda’s most brazen acts of terrorism prior to September 11, 2001. Lippold will speak on “Managing Risk in an Era of Uncertainty.”
“The modern world does not wait for the uninitiated and the unprepared,” Lippold said. “The ability of organizations to react quickly to a crisis, adapt strategies to deal with unforeseen circumstances, and then choose the best course of action comes only from thinking through the unimaginable.” Through preparation and leadership, Lippold inspired his crew to act decisively in the ultimate crisis situation when terrorists attacked the USS Cole in one of the seminal events in the war on terror.
“Commander Lippold’s courage and leadership while under fire are qualities our convention attendees will admire and relate to,” said RVDA Convention/Expo Committee Chairman Peter Albano of American RV in Olive Branch, Miss. “He’ll inspire all of us to recognize and grab onto the opportunities that are present, even in challenging situations.”
Prior to the USS Cole, Lippold’s distinguished career included assignments on the USS Shiloh, the USS Arleigh Burke, the USS Yorktown, and the USS Fairfax County. His numerous awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and Navy Achievement Medal, in addition to various campaign and service ribbons.
Lippold is now president of Base to Peak, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in training programs, crisis management, and long-range strategic planning. He also serves with Military Families United, an advocacy group for military families and is a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Nevada’s 2nd Congressional District.
Themed “ReVolution: Take Charge Today,” the convention will feature new, in-depth super sessions covering the top issues RV dealers and their employees are facing right now. The education program will include information on building sales through innovative marketing strategies to reach new customers and an overview of the short and long-term trends that will impact the RV industry.
To make the convention as affordable as possible, the registration fee for dealership employees is the same as last year. RVDA is also offering special registration plans including an “Easy-Pay” plan of four payments and the ability to “lock-in” early bird savings for additional employees with one paid convention registration submitted by May 31.
