On Nov. 10, the NBA’s Orlando Magic entered into an exclusive sponsorship agreement with RVDirect Group and Orlando RV.
The agreement is a three-year deal which includes Orlando RV providing the Magic ownership of a diesel Class A motorhome as well as periodic payments for high level exposure in and around the new $450 Million Amway Center, according to a news release.
Josh Gold of the Orlando Magic said, “We are definitely excited about bringing Orlando RV into our family and excited for what we are about to do together.”
The deal gives Orlando RV exclusive marketing rights inside the arena as well as an opportunity to showcase RVs at select home games. “We’re excited to partner with the Orlando Magic because we share the same commitment to hard work, professionalism and community service. In addition we feel it’s a great way for us to effectively expand our customer base beyond the mainstream approach of a normal RV Dealer.” said Matt Sheirer, director Of marketing for RVDirect Group.
RVDirect is a New York-based, privately held RV dealer group with stores in Des Moines, Iowa, Albany and Buffalo, N.Y., and Orlando, Fla. The company retails over 3,000 units a year with 2010 estimated revenues in excess of $100 million. Don Strollo, president of RVDirect, said, “Our marketing, our products and our industry need to be constantly looking for ways to renew and reinvent itself to keep pace with changing consumer demands and demographics. Our company’s constant year over year growth for the last 10 years is solely because we recognize this fact and that the clock never stops on progress. We’re sure to attract new RVers to our industry as well as our dealerships with this highly visible sponsorship.”
