RVT.com, a leading Internet classifieds ad site for new and used RVs for sale, has introduced a Live Chat feature that is included free with every RVT.com dealership account.
According to a press release, the Live Chat feature enables a dealership’s sales force to have a live conversation with a prospective RV buyer while they are viewing the unit online. When an RVT.com visitor clicks on the Live Chat icon, a message appears instantly in the dealer sales rep’s Skype or Google Talk account. The rep can immediately see which ad the visitor is viewing and respond to the buyers request. When the chat is concluded, an email of the conversation is sent to the representative.
In addition, the Live Chat feature will proactively prompt a conversation if a visitor stays on the listing page for more than 15 seconds. If the visitor engages with the prompting, the dealer is notified.
“Current research shows that websites with a Live Chat feature experience an immediate increase in customer satisfaction and sales,” said Shawn Friesen, RVT.com vice president. “Allowing dealer sales reps to respond instantaneously to consumer interest will allow them to negotiate deals online and close those deals more quickly and efficiently.”
Setting up the Live Chat feature is simple, and can be activated immediately through a dealer’s RVT.com account under the “Dealer Info” tab.

RVT.com, a leading online classified advertising website for RVs, announced the winner in its dealer contest as part of the 50th Annual National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky. According to a press release, Chuck Jung of Colerain RV drew the winning ticket and will receive up to 600 RV consumer inquiries or up to five years of free RV classified advertising, estimated at a potential $1.5 million in RV sales by RVT.com. Accepting the prize for Colerain, a family owned business with three Ohio locations, were Jung and his brother, Steve. “We’re thrilled,” Chuck Jung said. “Winning $1.5 million in RV sales will be a major motivator to everyone at Colerain RV to continue to give great service to our valued customers.” Colerain RV will also enjoy a number of valuable advertising upgrades, including bold and “bold red” ads, various special featured listings, “JUMBO spotlight” ads on the RVT.com homepage, plus thousands of targeted banner ad impressions. RV dealers from across North America entered the drawing by requesting “10 Free Leads” from RVT.com. “We’re doing our part (as lead generators) to give every RV dealer a leg up into the ‘Golden Opportunity’ that is 2013,” said Shawn Friesen, vice president of RVT.com. “Every dealer who entered the draw will now receive more inquiries and make more sales to the RV buying public as a direct result.”
RVT.com, a leading Internet classifieds ad site for new and used RVs for sale, has introduced a new version of its mobile website.
Employing what is known as a “responsive” design, the new mobile website scales seamlessly across all tablet and smart phone screen sizes, according to a news release. Users of all mobile platforms and devices use one version of the website and share the same optimized browsing experience. Mobile RVT.com (m.rvt.com) is now fully compatible and optimized for iOS, Android, Windows and Blackberry operating systems, across all smart phones and tablets.
“For several years now the mobile version of RVT has constituted a significant percentage of RV consumer traffic to RVT.com,” said Shawn Friesen, vice president of Sumas, Wash.-based RVT.com. “Traffic has risen exponentially during the past two years. With the wholesale adoption of smart phones, the iPad and other tablets, this type of browsing has become essential for RV shoppers who want access to RVT whenever and wherever”
Friesen also noted the new version is much more “touch friendly,” with the addition of graphical, one-touch search options for all types of RVs. These search options will instantly load desired search results, and show them in order of proximity to the consumer. With a tap or two, any search can then be filtered by price or year range, RV make and a host of other filter options.
“Visitors will also appreciate the improved layout and larger images, making RVT extremely easy to navigate on any mobile device. Viewing new and used RVs for sale has never been easier on a mobile website.” said Friesen.
Mobile RVT also includes an “Advanced Search” tool, allowing shoppers to enter more specific search criteria such as make and model, year range, RV length, price range, as well as state or province; with even more search parameters available on request like new or used, fuel type, slides, ad number, and even specific keywords. A time frame filter searches the most recent ads, from 24 hours up to 30 days.

RVT.com, an Internet classifieds ad site for new and used RVs for sale, has introduced a new Facebook app for RV dealers and launched a new RV industry-focused blog at RVAdvertiser.com.
According to a press release, the new RVT.com Facebook app allows RV dealers to put their inventory on their Facebook Page or Timeline quickly and easily. The Facebook app is free for RVT.com “Featured Dealers,” and can be installed from the dealer account login page at RVT.com. Dealers who are currently not an RVT.com “Featured Dealer” can sign up for a free 14-day trial online.
“With a couple of clicks of a mouse, RV dealers can easily install this new app and have their entire inventory visible to their Facebook Fans and Page visitors instantly,” said Shawn Friesen, vice president of RVT.com. “Visitors to a dealer’s Facebook page will be able to browse the inventory by RV type, and easily view the complete listing at RVT.com.”

In total, users accessing the RVT.com site from mobile devices increased 152% from 2010 to 2011, and those visiting the site using iPhone and iPad apps increased 272%.
“The current state of the RV market combined with RVT.com’s extensive search engine optimization, social network marketing and mobile friendly content has caused a significant increase in visitor traffic,” said Shawn Friesen, Vice President of RVT.com. “We’ve made it simple for RV dealers and industry to reach customers via the Internet – especially through Google Search, Facebook and on mobile devices such as the iPad, iPhone and other smartphones. This in turn drives up inventory, which brings more RV buyers to RVT and ultimately results in more sales. If the current traffic trend continues, 2012 will be another record breaking year for our site.”
Friesen also noted that RVT.com had a 20% increase in RV dealer subscribers and a 25% increase in online inventory posted by dealers and individual owners.

James McFerrin of Cullum and Maxey Camping Center, Nashville, Tenn., won a new 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle at last week’s National RV Trade Show in a drawing held by RVT.com.
“This was our fourth Harley drawing,” said Shawn Friesen, RVT.com director of sales and marketing. “We want to give back to the industry that has been so good to us.”
With more than 500 dealers in the United States and Canada using RVT.com’s online vehicle listing service, “the company felt obligated to provide the best possible advertising service and a little extra by giving away a Harley every year,” Friesen said.
This year’s giveaway was a 2011 FXS Softail with a retail value of about $18,000.
“The response this year to our dealer services and the Harley draw was excellent,” said Friesen. “We are starting to experience in the RV industry something that has already begun in the mainstream — a massive transfer of ad dollars from traditional media, such as radio, RV and newspapers, to digital advertising media, such as online classifieds, online display/banner ads, and social media like Facebook, Twitter, and blogging.”
RVT.com, a leading Internet classified ad site for new and used RVs for sale, will hold its 4th annual Harley Giveaway for RV dealers. Participants can enter to win a 2011 Harley-Davidson FXS motorcycle online at RVT.com/Harley or at booth #815 during the RVIA National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky., Nov. 29-Dec. 1.
The drawing for the free 2011 Harley will be held at the RVT.com booth at the Kentucky Exposition Center on Dec. 1, the final day of the trade show.
Shawn Friesen, RVT.com director of sales and marketing, said his company gives away a Harley to RV dealers at the national trade show every year “to reinforce what the RVT.com site has to offer dealers and the RV industry – high performance, easy navigation and an outstanding vehicle for attracting attention.”
Friesen said that RVT.com will also unveil its social media marketing program for RV dealers. RVT.com’s Social Engagement Marketing (SEM) program provides RV dealers with complete blog writing service, Facebook Page set-up and management, Twitter account management and Advanced Google Adwords management.
“RV dealers are busy enough trying to move their inventory without having to become proficient at social media, which takes an extraordinary amount of time and specialized knowledge,” said Friesen. “For a flat monthly fee, we can perform all those duties for RV dealers while they reap the rewards that a robust social media marketing campaign can deliver.”
Friesen also announced that RVT.com is now offering free advertising for For-Sale-by-Owner (FSBO) listings. FSBO RV sellers can also choose a paid listing with visibility upgrades or the site’s most popular option, the Until Sold listing.
RVT.com, a leading Internet classified ad site for new and used RVs for sale, reports that its online RV marketplace has experienced record growth since the beginning of 2011, and expects that growth to continue throughout the peak summer RV sales season.
“RVT.com has seen a massive increase in ‘For Sale by Owner’ (FSBO) ad listings over the past several months, especially since we began offering free ads,” Shawn Friesen, RVT.com marketing director, said in a press release.
Friesen noted that over 20,000 RV shoppers visit RVT.com daily, and the site currently has over 45,000 ad listings – of which 8,500 are FSBO RV listings – with hundreds of new listings being added every month.
In addition, with over 20,000 potential customers visiting the RVT.com “showroom” daily, Friesen reported that RV dealership participation has reached an all-time high, with over 500 featured RVT.com dealers posting over 37,000 RVs for sale. He said that dealer account activations have reached an unprecedented level, and they will likely see over 200 new dealer subscriptions this year alone.
Earlier this year, RVT.com teamed with iSocket to provide RV dealers and industry advertisers with a quick, convenient way to select an exceptionally targeted online display ad package and easily set up an ad. The company has also developed a mobile RVT.com iPhone app as well as an RVT.com iPad app that puts all the features and functionality of its industry-leading RV classifieds website directly in the hands of RV buyers, sellers and dealers. Both apps are free and available for download from iTunes.
RVT.com, the leading Internet classifieds ad site for the sale of new and used travel trailers, fifth-wheel trailers, motorhomes and campers, reported Wednesday (Feb. 23) that its website visitor traffic has increased more than 13% over 2010. The website also has added a new self-serve advertising option that allows industry advertisers and dealers to purchase, manage and track their online banner advertisements more quickly and easily.
“The rise in website visitors to RVT.com is welcome news for RV sellers, dealers and the industry,” said Shawn Friesen, RVT.com marketing director. “This increase tracks with reported industry trends that show the rising release of a pent-up demand for new and used RVs among consumers. Our primary job is to make it easier for RV buyers and sellers to find each other, to connect the RV industry with the RV shopper and vice versa. We are constantly innovating to this end.”

• 57% male.
• 55% have household incomes of more than $75,000/year.
