RVT.com Signups Up 50% at Louisville Show

December 10, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

logo_rvtRVT.com, a leading Internet classified ad site for new and used RVs for sale, said that dealer signups for online accounts during the 2010 National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky., last week were up more than 50% over 2009 and over 80% from 2008.

“We were very encouraged by the positive response we got at this year’s show, and want to thank all of those who stopped by our booth,” Shawn Friesen, RVT.com marketing director, stated in a news release. “It’s always nice to meet our customers face to face, as well as meet new ones.”

For the third straight year, Sumas, Wash,-based RVT.com held its annual Harley Giveaway for RV Dealers at the show. Doug Ross, managing partner of Grove RV and Leisure in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada, was the winner of a new 2010 Harley Street Bob.

Friesen said that based on positive dealer response to the RVT.com dealer listings program, the website is extending its RVIA Show Special until the end of the year. The promotion allows new customers to sign up for a dealer listings account that lets them place their entire inventory on RVT.com‘s powerful classifieds network, and receive up to three months free. To join the over 450 dealers who use it as a source of quality leads, contact the sales team at (800) 282-2183 for details.

According to Friesen, the website generates over 7,000 leads per month by exposing dealer inventory and private RV listings to over a half million monthly RV shopper visits. RVT listings appear on the site’s network of RV related websites, including RVTowables.com and RVMotorized.com.

Every RVT.com listing is optimized to be indexed by Google and other popular search engines;  listings have received over 4 million visits in the last year from Google alone.

Earlier this year, RVT.com introduced its Mobile iPhone app, an iPad RV shopper magazine, a Facebook Marketplace presence and a new partnership with Google Dart for Publishers for targeted RV ad placement by geography, category or keyword.

The site also provides an online ad generator so posting an ad and photos is simple and streamlined, and the RVT Price Checker searches the entire site’s inventory to provide high, low and average prices by vehicle make and model.

For dealers, RVT.com offers a Dealer Management Interface that allows dealers to easily upload and change multiple ads, track email leads and monitor traffic. Multiple listing accounts are available for a low monthly fee. RVT.com can also receive inventory from a dealership’s existing database.

Editor’s Note: The following story was posted on RVT.com by Shawn Friesen, director of RVT.com.

RVT.com iPad app has been submitted to the iTunes store and is awaiting approval.

After owning an iPad since its release from Apple earlier this year, I’ve been amazed by the how it transforms the way I consume Internet content, especially news and social media. Instead of turning on my PC and “mousing” around for news and info, or squinting at my iPhone screen, I’ve found myself ‘lipping through content, wherever I am – whether on a couch, airplane or in my office. This new form has proven to be easier on the eyes, takes less time to access and basically takes reading, viewing or watching internet content to a whole new level!

It’s through this experience that we launched out to create a version of RVT.com that would make RV shopping more efficient and enjoyable. By combining the “mechanical” elements of magazine “buy/sell” publications, the search functionality of Internet browsing and the mobile user interface of iPhone apps, we’ve created an extremely simple, yet powerful search interface for the RV shopper. The new app combines the beauty of “flipping” through RVs for Sale in your local region (and beyond), with the power of online keyword search, and the convenience of a Mobile App. See our Flickr photo gallery for a sneak peak of this dynamic new interface. The app will be available for Free download in the iTunes App Store within the next two weeks.
