With spring weather finally upon us, many are turning their thoughts to summer enjoyment and travel including in a new RV. This week, the Sackville Civic Center in Sackville, New Brunswick, will be filled with recreation vehicles of all types and prices from the inexpensive popup trailer and campers to the large motorhomes for those wanting to travel in style, the Moncton Times & Transcript reported.
The seventh annual Sackville RV Show, sponsored by Sackville Auto and RV Sales, opens Friday morning (April 8) at the civic center and closes Sunday afternoon.
A large selection of RV units will be on display both inside and outside the center for viewing giving people an opportunity to try them on for size and comfort.
Rodney Dobson of Sackville Auto and RV Sales said the show always attracts a good crowd of people interested in seeing what’s available and for how much. The units on display are not only affordable but depreciate little over time compared to an automobile, he said, making long-term financing a little easier.
The visitors represent all age groups and objectives, he added. Some want to take weekend trips, go camping, use their RV as a cottage for the summer rather than buy a cottage property and others will do some serious travel.
Dobson said last year was an excellent year for RV sales with the Canadian dollar and relatively stable economy and he expects this year to be the same.
As an added attraction, there will be a flea market component for visitors to browse through.
There is no admission price but there will be a donation box to raise money for the IWK Hospital.
