According to a press release, Sika will present its full range of product technologies used in manufacturing and repairing recreational vehicles including Sika MultiSeal Plus roof repair tape, Sikaflex-715 roofing sealant, Sikasil silicones; Sikaflex polyurethane sealants and adhesives and SikaFast 2-component MMA structural adhesives.
“The RV industry is a dynamic and challenging environment. OEMs are demanding lighter, safer vehicles, lowered operating and repair costs combined with improved reliability and durability,” said Tony Martin, vice president, transportation and appliance and components. “Sika, as supplier and partner to the leading recreational vehicle manufactures and aftermarket supply and repair centers provide the broadest range of state of-the-art technology solutions to assist the industry in meeting their challenges.”
Sika will display product in Booth #542, located in the lower arena of the Kentucky Exposition Center.
Longtime sealant and adhesive supplier Sika Corp. has launched a new comprehensive RV aftermarket merchandising program, according to a press release.
This program features graphics displaying an RV schematic that illustrates the correct Sika products to use for the repair application and also color codes the appropriate stocked Sika product. The shelving graphic color coordinates the product with the application and offers the benefits of each product.
A 3-foot by 4-foot wide merchandising plan-o-gram gives retailers the option of using displaying in the main aisle or on an end cap. Sika products stocked in the merchandising program are: Sikaflex-221, Sikaflex-252, Sikaflex-505UV, Sikasil-GP, Sikaflex-715 and Sika MultiSeal Plus.
Sika said that it introduced the RV aftermarket merchandising program last year’s Louisville Show where it caught the attention of many retailers, including Camping World. In January 2012, Camping World contracted Sika to be its only full product line supplier in the sealant and adhesives category in all 83 locations. In addition, Sika products in the aftermarket program are distributed through AP products, a recognized leader in the RV supply chain.
“Sika’s new RV aftermarket merchandising program development was a real team effort with input from both Sika and leading RV distributor, AP Products,” said Tony Martin, vice president, transportation and appliance and components. “Sika has long been recognized by the major recreational vehicle manufacturers as the leading supplier of bonding and sealing technologies for assembly operations. Offering the same range of products to the RV aftermarket repair and service is a win-win for retailers and end users. This maintains Sika’s position as the leading innovator in this highly competitive market.”
