Sporting a high-gloss platinum fiberglass exterior and modern, upscale interiors, Heartland Recreational Vehicles LLC has positioned its Silverado brand for 2014 as “the new high volume price point for full-profile fifth-wheels.”
“The new Silverado is equipped with features and styling that traditionally are seen in more expensive units. It’s a great look and, for our dealers, a great value,” said General Manager Kary Katzenberger in a press release.
Katzenberger reported that models will be displayed at the upcoming Elkhart County RV Open House while the new Silverado is making its consumer debut at this week’s America’s Largest RV Show in Hershey, Pa.
“The Silverado is an extension of Heartland’s aggressive strategy to identify emerging markets, then engineer units that offer more for less,” said Chris Hermon, president of the Elkhart, Ind.-based Thor Industries Inc. subsidiary. “Our goal is to always give our dealer partners another profit piece that buyers won’t be able to see down the road. Silverado meets that criteria with construction, looks, amenities and pricing that change the dynamics in the full-profile fifth-wheel market.”
With MSRPs starting at $45,900 to $49,900 depending on floorplan, the Silverado comes equipped with new high-gloss platinum fiberglass sidewalls set off by a two-tone platinum and graphite painted front cap that creates a “very high-end look,” according to Katzenberger.
The Silverado’s list of amenities includes hydraulic front landing gear and sliderooms, recessed LED lighting throughout the interior, residential microwave, optional 12 cubic-foot refrigerator and stainless steel appliances. Three new residential decors feature 80-inch sleeper sofas, rocker recliners, a dinette table with four chairs and a stackable washer/dryer prep at the rear of the coach.
The Silverado is currently available in seven floorplans ranging in lengths from 35 to 41 feet. Models are equipped with three to five slideouts while all floorplans include a popular bedroom slideroom.
