Dealer Kim Stone of Stone’s RV & Home Centre in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, has been elected as the new chairman of the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) of Canada.
Stone, owner with his wife, Anne, of Stone’s RV & Home Centre, has been in the RV industry since 1975. As such, he is “an excellent fit for this position” and “his expertise will serve him well as the leadership for the national association,” according to a release from the Canadian association. ”
“It is a sincere honor and pleasure to be elected as the new chair of the RVDA of Canada,” Stone said. “I am very excited about the direction and growth the association has had over the past few years and I will strive to ensure its continued success. I look forward to working with all of our industry partners.”
Stone was born and raised in Oxford, Nova Scotia, After a career in banking, he eventually managed a mobile home and RV business. In February 1975, he and his wife purchased the business and have worked side-by-side since while Stone’s RV has grown to two locations as well as two manufactured housing stores.
