In its more than 30-year run, Strawberry Park Campground in Preston, Conn., has become one of the most popular campgrounds in the state, but its financial structure has crumbled, reported.

On Saturday (Feb. 26), bidders attending the campground’s foreclosure auction can bid on the 160-acre property.

Last April, Patrick A. Lemp, a real estate appraiser with Hartford’s Italia & Lemp Inc., estimated the value of the property at $ 10.1 million.

The award-winning 160-acre campground and resort park is known for its bluegrass music festival in the summer. It has received 5-star ratings from Frommer’s Guide to the Best RV & Tent Campgrounds in the U.S.A. and Wheeler’s Campground Guide.

The property, located at 42 Pierce Road, is open for inspection by bidders starting at 10 a.m. Saturday. The auction begins at noon inside the arcade.
