Thor Motor Coach Inc.’s (TMC) is offering a bunkhouse model in seven of its motorhomes, including the Palazzo, Miramar, Windsport, Hurricane, ACE, Chateau and Four Winds brands.
“We really focused on how to incorporate enjoyment and practicality by systematically placing the bunk on the driver’s side of the unit,” said Jon Krider, vice president of product development, in a press release. “Adults can enjoy time outside under the patio awning because of the unique location of the bunk bed, which is opposite of the camp side of the coach. The bunk location also provides privacy inside the motorhome since it’s opposite the master bedroom.”
Bunk occupants who want their own space can take advantage of individual lighting, 110-volt power outlets and a personal window for ventilation. Each bunk even has space for a LED TV, which is standard or optional in different models.
The bunk beds in the Palazzo, Miramar, Hurricane and Windsport can be converted into a sofa or full length wardrobe closet. This innovative bed arrangement will fit the needs of the owner today, while the convertible storage and seating area provides for the needs of the family as it moves through life.

Thor Motor Coach Inc.’s Outlaw toy hauler was the No. 1 selling Class A toy hauler motorhome for 2012, according to data from Statistical Surveys Inc.
The Outlaw is attracting buyers outside the original market for which it was created, according to a press release. Applications include: dog grooming studio; mobile dental office; mobile office area; medical examination rooms; hunting lodge; mobile blood drive unit; tailgating vehicle
Recently introduced, the 37MD model adds a second slide room, which is dual-purposed as a second living area or dedicated bedroom. This functionality is the result of input from consumers wanting to have a single motorhome that can be converted for full-time camping. A sliding glass door separates the garage from the front of the coach and includes a powered shade for privacy.
The 37LS model features a super-slide in the front of the coach for an unobstructed living area. An oversized booth dinette can easily accommodate four people for dinner, while the front captain’s chairs swivel, allowing for interaction with people on the large hide-a-bed sofa.
Either model can be equipped with an electric drop-down bunk over the cockpit area. The bed slides down to provide a comfortable sleeping space for two, and when not in use can be slid up into the ceiling.
In addition, the Outlaw’s garage and ramp door expand and create another place for entertaining. An optional patio railing system forms a terrace off the rear of the coach, while optional fold-down sofas will accommodate seating for six inside the garage.
